Anyone know how long Ryan Edgar played? We need him back as soon as he`s fit.

I think the official site said he played the last 15 minutes. I would have him on the bench again on Saturday providing he makes a full training session and would definately bring him on at some stage.

I realise we need him back, but are we not building ourselves up to expect more than he's capable?

You have lost me a bit there Ribbit, are you saying that we shouldn`t expect too much from him because he`s coming back from injury (if so i agree) or are you saying that you don`t think he`s an important part of our team (if so i strongly disagree, for me he is the player who makes our side tick)

Ryan gives us the attacking flare I think we've missed in the middle of the park since he's been out. We're ok going forward down the wings through Leon, Lee Jay, Corbell etc. but in the middle the ball seems to make a large jump from the likes of Clyde and Dobbo to the forwards. Ryan fills that gap and runs with the ball at his feet, opening up defences with Dobbo/Clyde following up behind.

With everyone fit and hopefully on the end of a rollocking after last week, for Saturday I'd go with:

Johnson

Blewer - Kreyling - Britnell - Davidson

Roberts - Dobinson - Edgar - Corbell

Rugg - J. Curran

SUBS:

Wiseman

West

Batch

Jay

Gordon

We'd have hardly any pace at the back, but we shouldn't need it with the old heads' experience.

But would you drop Leon just like that or would you have to rest Curran or Ruggy to fit Leon up front?

Lee Jay or Steve Corbell? If Lee Jay, how about Corbell up front? Oh decisions!!!

I`m a big fan of Leon but he`s not fit at the moment and when he is i`d play him up front. I don`t think there is enough room in our team for both Corbell and Jay, given we had a fit squad i`d only start with 1 and bring on the other if needed.

Matt - I don't agree about starting with Gary Britnell on Saturday..

No offence to Brits but to be honest he is at the club to coach and spread his experience throughout our young side.

Im sure brits will only start a if we have extreme injury problems at the back..

Personally i would start with Westy as he has got huge potential, so the more games he plays the better he will get..

Personally i think the only change that i would consdier for Saturday would be who gets the number 1 jersey??

Im guessing Ricky will keep his place

its a really tough do we drop ricky?this will knock his confidence right down or do keep him in the side as even the best make mistakes i think he has been good and made alot of good saves eg at ware the 1 on 1 just before half time to keep us level going in to the break and the same at sudbury but that game keeping us ahead

I would go with Johnson because despite both he and Ricky being good shot-stoppers, Glen's distribution is better, (probably cursed him now!).

Ricky's kicking on Saturday was appalling and had no formula to it. I wish he'd throw the ball out more, he appears strong at that and if it can get to the full backs or even the wide midfielders without being intercepted he doesn't have to shoulder the responsibility of giving the ball away.

From the write-up in the Echo it looks like he will play some part in tomorrows game <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
