SLOUGH v Carshalton Ath.

Recommended Posts

Raising the admission price wouldn't help, and I'm not sure you can even do it halfway through a season.

The other thing is, based on a crowd like last night's, (a measly 212), not that many would be paying customers as we have something like 90+ season ticket holders. Raising the price would put more people off if anything, as there's no justification for it in terms of results.

liam ..i would love to have some answers , but players what ever level have demands and minimims

that they will play for..its a very hard thing for a club to do right...or in this case wrong...

It needs help this term as we have all seen..and if we can make a small difference then i see no harm...

I for one would never want to be amanager in non league as money on all fronts is difficult...

hope we can turn it around somehow...together...

I havent been to a game for a few weeks, due to work commitments but it seems morale is at an all time low. I have read the comments on here and it is so upsetting when we can all remember how great the good times were in the conference to how we have fallen now. In the conference days the players and the fans used to mingle and chat with each other after the game. It was a real family atmosphere. Losing our ground and our bar hasn`t helped because the people feel they are not contributing to the club because the bar profits go to windsor. For what its worth my opinion is that we need to work on that morale between players and fans and get the Slough spirit back. I have mentioned before on here how the Slough Jets used to have a charity event at Spaggos once a year where they waited on tables and their shirts were auctioned and raffles etc, but what about organising a golf day between fans and players and try and get that unity back and maybe that could be transferred to the pitch.

Back to the idea of fans contributing to pay/finance a new player, if 50 of us would be willing to put up £5 a week, that would amount to £250 a week. You would hope that could attract a decent striker for that per week. I for one would be prepared to contribute, now we need another 49...

Good luck but not sure this is the way forward, dont think 1 player will make any differance to a side that is so poor, probably need 6 or 7 decent players to have any impact on that shower and lets face it most supporters are not going to cough up for that, so another 47 to go???????????

I think we should put the fans down to contribute for a win bonus, we'd only have to pay it 2 or 3 times this season.

*NOT HAVING A GO AT CHRIS!!*

But.....

Isnt it a shockign state of affairs when people are trying to put their hard earned wages towards gtrying to get new players...

I think this would be fairer...

The fans decide who DESERVES wages and the rest gets put in a pot to hopefully get some more players
