Dan, according to those supporters that were in line with the so called "off side" goal, it wasn't. Standing behind the goal, I couldn't see if it was or wasn't...What they told me was that the player who scored was behind the ball when the pass was made. What was galling was that the ref made the decision based on the linesmans shout and that off side was given...only to change his mind when surrounded by Harrow players. I suppose justice was done (if you area Harrow supporter - doesn't change the fact that the ref had made a decision).

 

Match report? How about that we started well but then was exposed down the right (which could've been changed), they equalised, then went 2 - 1 up and then 3 - 1 due to a wildly deflected goal from a free kick. We fought gamely on in the second half, winning a penalty for hand ball. From then on we pushed for the equaliser and left our defence exposed in the search....Harrow with two or three quick forwards then took advantage of the space and scored two more goals.

 

I don't think there is any value pointing fingers at individuals as the result of tonights game will hang heavy with everyone. Management, players and supporters alike. The only thing we can hope for is that whatever decisions that have / are to be made, are made with due consideration and not under any pressure or panic. I'm sure that what ever action is required or done to get over this, will be the right one.

 

Time to be steely eyed and face this one out. Hayes this Saturday...lets get behinds the team.
