We shall see. P7 W5 D0 L2 F20 A15 PTS15 - all away from home! Tomorrow is first home league game. Perhaps 6-1 was a bit over the top though!

Langford have done really well concidering all their games to date have been away...apparently they have had the pitch dug up and reseeded ect ect...expect it to be flat but not too grassy

 

agree with you there blues06...everyone dropping points here and there...harefield just keep on winning

Harefield look good right now, but its a long long season, and you cant tell me they are going to win EVERY game. The Harefield fan who said that was the season over when they 'beat' us 1-0 recenty said its between them and us and as they beat us at the WLG they would now go on and win the league.

 

Edgware face Harefield in the next round of the Spartan challange cup at home next Tuesday. We should have the result of our appeal from the league game re the penalty, so that will add extra spice to the tie.

 

IF the game was ordered to be replayed it would be some match.

Langford have done very well without playing home games, I have not seen them play so cant comment on them.

 

The following teams have impressed me so far....

 

Harefield, looked strong good on the ball, and by far the best we have played so far. That said. second half they had a man sent off, lost thier composure, and we should have had at least one or two goals, coming very close. The penalty incident overshawdoed the match, and really a draw would have been a fair result.

 

Leverstock Green, hard to judge, because of thier steep hill of a pitch, but not in the same league playing wise as Harefield. An awfull first half saw us 0-3 down and a man sent off.

 

Second half we got back into the game pulling it back to 2-3, only to let another goal in against the run of play when we looked like drawing level. I dont think they will be major challangers.

 

Ruislip Manor, played some good football and it was a very entertaining game last week with them.

should finnish in the top six

 

Hertford, had a few chances in the second period of the vase game, but I was supprised they did not offer more to be honest.

 

I am not being biased when I say, Edgware have not been outplayed by any team so far this season.

The only thing that will stop Edgware from doing really well is themselves. On our day when we get the ball down and play the football we can, NO team in this division will be able to match us.

 

I think from what I have so far, we are the BEST footballing side, but as I said when they stat to play it long and into the hands of the opponents then things go pear shaped.

And Edgware is spelt with just ONE E, even fricking teletext and ceefaxt cant get it right!

 

I never said we were not beatable, or had weaknesses, but I still belive we are the best footballing side in the division, when we get it down and play it.

ur lucky u have a good pitch gav,it encourages good football! Welynn Garden City - Broxbourne was a great game to watch because they both got it down and played on a beautiful surface!

Thats why i think V&E will be up there coz they have a nice pitch and play the right way!!
