Just over halfway through the season and you can make predictions like that ? If you are that good I am surprised you don't make a living out of gambling ....rather than showing yourself up to be the little turd that you are by posting rubbish ( decorum prohibits the real word here )on other club's sites.

If your prediction comes true...then feel free to post another message after the last game of the season. But until then, please shut the **** up !

Regards,

You seem to forget Margate had all gone on holiday that week,we had half the team available with 2 youths on the bench!

And 2 strikers upfront with injuries.

F.A Cup-best cup in the land-Gate won 2-1 (Obvious from the word go!)

New years day 2003-Gaters smash the Fleet 4-2!

2 for us and 1 mini cup for you.

Margate have the better team, better management, better support, better ground (next season!)better town!

Need the Super Gate say anymore!

MFC-the pride of kent and would av the Fleet anyday.

Your best team out today, our best team out today, smashed ya 4-2.

Gate are the Best-no more to say!

But COM ON YOU BBBLLLUUUUUEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry Gravesend fans but you were truly appalling in the second half. It was perhaps the worst defensive performance I have seen at Hartsdown.

Ignore the more triumphalist Margate fans on this forum. We are nothing special and I will be more than happy with our current position (15th) at the end of the season. But that just makes your own display today even more awful. I walked past your dressing room at 5.20pm and all I could hear was someone (Ford I guess) yelling at your players, every other word was "f**king".

Unfortunately its hard to disagree with the Margate fan we were awful and they weren't much better but they were better.

First half we had everything in our favour, wind, rain, slope and we managed two attempts on goal neither of which looked likely to go in. Three times Margate got clean through and only Wilko kept us in it.

Second half was the same old story.

WHY ARE WE SO BLOODY AWFUL IN THE SECOND HALF EVERY WEEK?

Why do we play so many long high balls when they clearly don't work?

Why was Tostao sitting on the bench in the first half while We pumped ball after ball into the right wing corner of the pitch when We didn't have a winger?

It looks like being a long struggle for the rest of the season. We have to do something to threaten the opposition goal apart from set pieces We never looked like scoring today.

And like the Margate fan said our defending was non-existent in the second half and only Wilko stopped it being more than four goals today.

The Truth speaks just that - a diabolical performance in the second half. Three 'must-win' games since the start of December (i.e. Kettering, Forest Green and Margate), and we have taken just a point from them. It is only the failings of other teams around us (to be expected at the bottom of course) that are keeping us out of the relegation zone, and we are slipping fast.

I felt there was a suspicion of offside for Collins' goal (remind you of any other games this season? ), but in general we can have no complaints, for we deserved to lose. It was so frustrating, especially with a back five, to be exposed down the wings so often, and during the short spell in which all of Margate's goals came, we simply made it too easy for them. Admittedly though, Margate took their chances well and were worthy winners.

Goals are still a major problem too though - Wilkins' goal today was the first goal by one of our centre forwards in a long while. I wonder how long we can rely on the odd set piece goal from defenders.

On the bright side, Bentley and Wilkerson played well (with Wilkers' superb one-handed save in the second half a high point), and I was pleased to see Liam training before the game, suggesting that he has made it up with Andy to a certain extent. We really need the Beast back as soon as possible to give our side some fight, with Saturday's Yeovil game looking highly ominous.

(P.S. Chris Giles played reasonably well today, and I will be sad to see him go, for this is probably his last game. He looked a highly competent defender.)

Dave is right.... unfortunately, Collins was well onside for their first goal. Mind you he did his best to miss it and it must of been the only time during the whole game that he didn't fall over when challenged. The foul? on him for their free kick leading to the 3rd goal being a glaring example of the sort of experienced player we are sadly lacking in. He completely conned the referee time after time, which, however, is exactly what we seem incapable of learning.

Where has our confidence gone? As soon as they scored we looked a beaten side, and the real bugger of it all is that they were crap, playing bloody route one football which we couldn't handle. The problem was, we were more crap than they were.

Our season is going into freefall and now is the time to see how good a motivator Andy is. We can't blame our injuries now, as we should have had time to sort out replacements by now.

That said, the supporters leaving before the end should be aware that NOW is the time to get behind the team, we were poor, ok we were p**s poor, but its still OUR team, this was not the day to desert them.
