I believe the attendance was actually only between 300 & 400.

 

Those that didnt attend missed an entertaining game won 3-2 by Charlton and which, but for some outstanding goalkeeping from both Randolph (Charlton) and Taylor (Villa) could have finshed something like 7 each!

 

Charlton grew in confidence as the game went on and their forward line caused Villa all sorts of problems, particularly with their pace in the second half.

 

One moment of real skill in the game came from Baros, who took the ball down superbly and beat his man before slotting in the second of his 2 goals just 60 seconds after he'd sent Randolph the wrong way from the penalty spot.

 

Even in a reserve game though, Baros went to ground very easily and spent half the time moaning about shirt pulling!

 

Overall, well worth the £3 admission money again.
