The WILD 1

Did I notice Chris Wild taking a "long" throw-in yesterday? I didnt see one after that though. That throw in particular was quite good. This type of throw-in seems to work for other clubs & does seem to cause some headaches in defence. If Wild has that ability to throw long I think it would be good to make use of it more.Lets face it our short throws arent worked too well are they & it normally takes a while to get the ball into the box from then so a more direct approach might work wonders...provided we have the bodies in the box to make use of them that is..What do you think. It was Wild wasnt it?

Good for Wild that he gives us another 'attacking' option with his throw.

As others state-a basic tactic ,but it works at this level.RT just needs to work out how to cover it when CW is on a forward foray-if its planned, then it should be used-surely the likes of McKimm can cover alongside Abbott/JJ depending which side the throw is on

Obviously mainly there for his defensive work-brilliant v Chelmsford-maybe not so good in last couple of games, but we have had three clean sheets on the trott,so not too bad.

Apart from that Wild also gives us attacking options at corners/free kicks -i'm sure he will score soon as been close on a few occasions now.

Interesting that Wild has this long throw. Think we should make use of this as much as we can. You never know what can come off a dangerous ball into the area. At the moment I'd like to see us stick with him for his height at set pieces. Neither Wild or Donovan are the finished article. Far from it and both have their faults but Wild's height puts him ahead I think.
