Either a player wants to play for you or he doesn't. Forget the old flannel, that's the long and the short of it. Sure, you can recognise and reward someones talent and I do understand that players will want to shop around a bit, but when it becomes more about the money than playing for the club then it all goes a bit cold. We will lose players because of it and probably have. Too bad.

This is Level 5 non-league football, not platform 1 for the gravy train express - and that's distinctly different to the platform that can be offered for someone to go on to better things, that's great and I applaud and encourage it.
