And just like that day at Victoria Road, special congratulations must go to those 'wise' Fleet supporters who chose to leave before the end. Why do it?

I would never knock anybody that leaves before the end ... they are only depriving themselves if they miss anything further . But people do have to leave early sometimes , especially if you get a text or call asking you to . I have turned up for games before knowing full well that i won't see all of it , but i would hate to deprive myself of a chance to see the boys at all , and content myself with 60 or so minutes before i am needed elsewhere ... part of the job of being a husband and parent , sometimes ?

I don't accept that situation as being the usual reason for people to leave early, not within the final 5 minutes or so of a game. We are not talking of an emergency at all. It is an obsession with trying to save 5 minutes potentially getting held up in traffic if they were to stay to the end. Personally I think they should seek therapy and get a life.

So then:-

850 home supporters
+ 400 away supporters
=1250 Total.

So where will the other 250 come from?

I would be very surprised if we get more than 1250. Are Charlton and the Gills at home?

Perhaps they only payed 90% of the entry fee so had to leave after 90% of the game. I notice it was the same people that left when were 1-0 down away at Dagenham last season. Leave early eventually you pay the price.

i would be supprised by more than 1250 aswell, but the game deserves much more, were on an unbeaten run of 8 games, 7th, 2nd high scorers on the league, 1 point of the play offs, so if this doesnt attract a good crowd what will ?

Had a top day out on Sat, got the result we deserved, local boozers where all nice and friendly as were the St Albans fans. A nice easy away game to get to, so good luck St Albans.

I totally agree with you, you do not see this at other conference clubs. Win, draw or lose, I always stay behind after the final whistle and congratulate and/or get behind the lads!

I have read on here a couple of comments about the officals, and loads on the st Albans site complaing that they thought he was the worst they have ever seen.

I have not seen any complaints about some of the tackles the saint put in that went unpunished.

Where as the couple of dodgy tackles committed by the fleet players, seem to be punished straight away. there again maybe I am slightly biased
