Rick , Shearer booted Lennon in the head

on camera & didnt get done because of who he was , Davis shattered Cockerills jaw (cracking punch) , I'm not condoning what he did but he has served his time unlike either of the above examples , all I'm saying is give the fella a break , if he commits another act of violence on the pitch I will be the first to slate him.

What about Duncan ferguson!

Rik we arent in a hole we are in mid table (just behind your good selves) with 2 home games in the next 3 days. Speaking to Jeff king last night he certainly is not too concerned but he is looking to strenghten the squad as any good manager should do.

Its not just a case of 'this players been in prison' It was for an offence that was committed on a football field. After what happened in the Essex Senior cup last season I'd have thought he'd be the last person you would even consider employing.

i can see where you are coming from on this but the incident with Braintree was blown out of all proportions. Borgy has already been sent to the stands 2/3 times this season already.

As football fans we have to back the judgement of our Board(as you do) on these matters.

with regard to barrys original posting I dont think the decision to sign him was out of desperation

And that proves what in the conxect of "that" ESC game? The incident happened at your dugout...not at the Braintree dugout. They are also not related as we're now in a different season...Stop trying to clutch at straws...

I thought he played well tonight. Was impressed - passion, commitment, gutsy tackles, what any team needs.

Can't disagree with that. But he did pick up a booking. Be interesting to see how he reacts to a few flying in on him though. Tonbridge didn't do that.

Ahh... But you don't know who I supported do you. Or were you referring to my £9?

Thouroughly enjoyable second half for the neutral(ish) supporter. I'd intended leaving early to avoid the rush but it had me glued.

No. Beard, false nose & dark glasses. Hoody (borrowed) and large copy of the Times to bury my face in.

Don't think I was spotted.
