Where to offload the wife in st albans

Does anyone know if there is there much for the little woman to do in St Albans whilst i watch the mighty reds ? Or will she have to suffer more of me than she would like , and possibly endure the delight ( ? ) of actually attending a game with me .

St Albans is a City. As we discovered last year when we nearly played them, in order to gain City status they need two things. They are a HMV and a Waterstones, of which they have both so therefore I shall imagine the city is quite nice for shopping?

Aaah - any particular reason for that one ? A love of all things pasta , maybe ? Or owned a Capri ?? Or purchased a single by Sabrina ??? Sorry for the q's , but i am imbued with an innate desire to understand all things fleet , including the best set of fans on the web

Yes, lots of 'nice' shops but sadly no large department stores. I can also recommend a few 'nice' restaurants for ladies what lunch. Send me a PM.

Thanx 4 the posted reply , but I don't think I'll send a pm for the following reasons

1) The wife will be very vulnerable to male attention , given that we've been married for twenty years next year

2) The use of the inverted "nice" , relating to restaurants - here at Gravesend we have Nells Cafe

, second only to Douglas Adams' Restaurant At The End Of The Universe , though curiously has never turned her head

3) According to your bio , you have 10 photos posted ... browsing through them , a stonking 9 of them feature ... gulp ...CANVEY ... you are clearly not someone we would want to get too close to here at the Fleet , let alone give advice to our wives , however first hand it may be

What's he got to apologise for ? Usually that's my job , especially whenever I dump the missus somewhere ... take last season ... staying with my mum and dad in somerset , fleet at FGR on the sat ... mum , wife and daughter dumped at Cribbs Causeway shopping centre en route at 2pm , we arrive at FGR at 2.40pm ... text from wife at 3.10 , we're done , when did u say u were picking us up ? With M4/M5 traffic after the game (5-0 Fleet? ) we reached them at 6.15 - not a happy bunny !!! Maybe a nice museum for her , Saturday ?
