Lato, I asked if you were there last night, but was told you had to work.

Yeah Gav I had to prepare for a big work presentation on Wednesday. It sounded a good game though

I don't really know any of the ruislip fans.

I was only there for the last 15 minutes and didn't see a programme myself.

I am sure it was very good

Yes I believe it was my mates you were chatting to. I don't know what they thought of the programme though

Not sure about the page long England "joke" but the other stuff and programme generally were good.

All the things a prog should contain without being BULKED OUT WITH CR*P (certain other clubs take note)!

What's this I hear about your chairman calling ours to complain about our guys in the boardroom on Tuesday?

From what I heard everyone got on really well.

Sorry Lato this is just for Rak. Rak - Thanks for the text, the pitch was fine today. You may be interested in the following, did the great man get a game today at Walton and Hersham now Gary McCann has gone:

Hendon boss offers to quit after trophy KO.

Hendon 1 Ramsgate 2

Hendon manager Gary McCann offered to resign immediately after his team's exit from the Trophy at the hands of Ramsgate on Saturday. After consultation with club officials, McCann has agreed to take two weeks' leave of absence to reconsider his position. He is believed to have become tired of his players gifting chances to the opposition. After the game he said: "If it was the same player making the mistakes every week, I could say to him, I'm sorry, you're not quite good enough; try a lower level'. But it isn't, it is different players every game."

Saturday's defeat was a case in point, with Ramsgate scoring late in both halves, after 42 and 87 minutes, and with both goals coming after errors. In the first half, Dean Green, Lee O'Leary and Wayne O'Sullivan forced saves from the Rams' Jurgen Wild. Ramsgate's best chance fell to Michael Yianni, but a sprawling Richard Wilmot was able to save his shot. Then, in the 42nd minute, against the run of play, the Rams took the lead. An errant pass from O'Sullivan to O'Leary was intercepted by Mark Munday, whose first-time pass went to Lee Minshull, who set up Shaun Welford. He spun and struck a low shot into the bottom corner. The second half was less open, but Hendon maintained the majority of possession.

With four minutes left on the clock Ramsgate attacked down the left flank. A deep cross should have been dealt with by O'Sullivan at the far post, but he hadn't tracked the run of substitute Andy Hadden, who had the simplest of tasks to stoop and head the ball into the net from six yards out to make it 2-0. Almost immediately, Hendon reduced the arrears after being awarded a penalty when a Ramsgate defender handled the ball during a goalmouth scramble. Green netted with the spot-kick. Four minutes of injury time remained, but Hendon never looked like getting a second chance and Ramsgate held on for the win. Caretaker manager Freddie Hyatt leads the team for the first time on Saturday when the Greens visit Walton & Hersham in the league.

Perhaps they should ALL be playing at a lower level?

Perhaps, but considering we have a fair few proven at this level (and above), and some other young and improving players I think not.

But then you would have to have watched our games to be able to make your own opinion.

Gary has withdrawn his resignation and was in the dugout yesterday. We beat Walton and Hersham 2-0. Takumi came on in the second half and did well. He has had 2 bad injuries this season which is why he hasn't been playing, when fit he is a very important player for us.

Sorry, Rak, my comment was uncalled for - it's the old knee jerk reaction to you know who!

Well done on yesterday's result Rak. I was going to ask about the presence of the great Ake (phrase copyright Rhodes) as I notice he has been absent recently.

No problem Horace I understand what you mean.

Cheers Lato.

We haven't got a game for 2 weeks now but hopefully Takumi will be able put his injury problems behind him now as he is extremely fustrated when not playing!

Yes, I bet he kicks every ball from the touchline.

Rak - I see you are mentioned in the Non League paper in the Walton and Hersham v Hendon match report and so is Takumi, did he play the whole game.

HTFCew - Many thanks for that, it's quite an extensive report but I can't believe Takumi was substitute again and didn't come on until the 74th minute, ridiculous. Incidentally weren't we supposed to meet up for a drink tonight.

Disagree there. Not ridiculous at all. Firstly can't complain with a win.
Secondly, Takumi has been injured, it was touch and go whether he would be available at all on Saturday. It was his first game back and hence why he came on towards the end.

Sometimes selection is not purely to do with picking the best players regardless. Injury, attitude, form, managers state of mind ( ) and opinions/tactics effect it!
