I'll be there cheering the lads on.
Hopefully their manager (Glen) will not be causing any arguments over 'throw ins' with our manage John lol.
He seems to be a bit 'hot headed' lol

Should be a good game paula!!
The lads are really up for it and cant believe they are playing a side that last year were in the conference!
Glens a nice bloke, he's just very passionate about his football.

Unfortunately its not the same side that played in the Conference <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />. It is our old Reserve team (with a couple of new additions). Most of last seasons players followed our old Manager/benefactor to Chelmsford. All our original players have gone. Still we're holding our own with a very young squad whom are steadily improving as a team as the season progresses.

We will probably be bringing about 80 fans so make sure plenty of beer behind the bar.

yea, my m8 Mario Noto played for u last year and has gone to chelmsford!! went to watch him a few times last year, u've got a lovely ground!

Still for Ware to be playing Canvey Island is a massive game for us!!

We normally get a gate of about 160 so there should be a decent crowd! Plenty of beer dont worry!

Chelmsford is a swear word for me now lol.

Our pitch looking good (as always). Watered every day so nice and lush. Was re seeded in the summer. We have a couple of fans acting as groundsmen and they are doing a fantastic job (keep it up lads). May be a little different come March (when you're over) after the winter rain but normally holds up quite well.

We were looking to relocate to a bigger stadium but now Geoff has pulled out money is tight so looks like that venture is off. Very friendly in the club house though (good beer too - thanks for the IPA pump Sue).

NeutralFan - Was there a programme, knowing Roger and Jane it was the usual 'War and Peace' fayre but they're not going to have it all their own way this season for once and neither are Broxbourne Borough with their weighty tomb.

Yes there was a program, substantial but not excessive... nice to see I'm among the top ten scorer of Spartan League goals there!! (OK might explain why they are struggling a bit...)

Personally I'm a fan of the program as I'm a bit of a statto and knowledge is power as they say!

To be fair, I can't believe I havent had a mention yet!!

I think people got value for money on their entrance fee with the appearance of my good self in the second half! Shame there were no XL shirts for me though. I think Barry White nicked the last one!

In all seriousness though, I think it was a good day and Stewart would have been proud. We raised £1000 for The Leonard Cheshire Homes Charity and it was nice to see so many ex players turn out for Stewart and his family.

Some faces never change. Fozzy looks like he could still do a job ya know! And hats off to John Walton for getting the boots on once again.

Shame you couldnt play NF, I would have loved to put you in the stand with a little two footed attack! Oh well, I guess I'll have to be content with roasting Ian Barnes on the halfway line!!

Thanks to all who attended.

Jonno the only reason you 'roasted' barnes was down to the most abissmal first touch fooled both yourself and Ian!!! It was an excellent day and I have it on good authority it is to become a yearly event so hopefully you'll have your chance to put me in the stand then...

Dont think Jane had her widescreen lens on that day! Ya never know though. She was buzzin round with the camera. I managed to get in the team photo at the start of the 2nd half so no doubt it will appear on the website soon.

Mercury were there too but most of his shots were of Richard Howard. And his ego is big enuff!!!
