Hoddy Charity Game

Recommended Posts

Went over and watched a lot of ex-team mates and other ex-Hoddy players play. I had the pleasure of meeting Maldini who I must say played rather well, sweet left pegg and had a player at least half his age <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> in his pocket!

There was some good (and very bad) football on show with Richie Howard of PBT showing his class with a good hat trick to follow up his double the day before against Wealdstone (I think)

Yeah, he was probably the worst player out of the 'old boys', everyone else was knocking it around and Redford was putting his head down and running with it....

I was also finding it rather amusing watching Richie Simmonds and Phil Barnes chasing Richie Howard around the park with no success, don't think they enjoyed it as much as some of the others!! He He.

Some quality players on show and I think Roger was trying to talk a few into signing!!

Didn't think his contract allowed him to play on a Sunday....

Apparently he asked permission and it was granted!

I hear a few of the older 'old boys' were bemused at the use of Immac in a certain area by a certain younger 'old boy' .. who had to get permission to play as he is on a contract..... who could that be?

I'll be there cheering the lads on.
Hopefully their manager (Glen) will not be causing any arguments over 'throw ins' with our manage John lol.
He seems to be a bit 'hot headed' lol

Should be a good game paula!!
The lads are really up for it and cant believe they are playing a side that last year were in the conference!
Glens a nice bloke, he's just very passionate about his football.
