It was the Westview Cup. The game was not important. I cant make Saturday games, nor can I make away games. At this end of the season its hard to afford to go to games. Its easier and cheaper to stay at home and listen to the commentary off the MFC website.

I'm not doubting that James.Probably one of the best around but the club are losing out by this attitude.WE are losing out because of this attitude.There are wages to pay,players to get in,a ground to mantain.How would the club cope if everyone had the same attitude.

Its hardly my fault if I cant afford to go to games. As for the running of the club, its not my problem as I have no impact on how the club is run. How much money does MISA donate each week? The amount of money I spend at Hartsdown Park each year makes a negligible difference to MFCs financial position compared to the amount donated by MISA each year. The running of the club is down to our Board of Directors.

 

Its the people who do little with their Saturday afternoons who you want to be talking to, not me.

James how about I help you ou on this one. How many people like yourself are saying the exact same thing.That money mounts up.How about I help you out by giving you say £4 on any midweek games & all you will have to pay is a £5 .Would that help? That way the team get another supporter,the club get another £9 & you get to see the team you love. Maybe others out there know of people with financial problems that cant make the games either purely because of that barrier. I'm not saying I would pay for them too but maybe others that are slightly better off could adopt a supporter & help out too in a similar way.

This is a genuine post & not a piss taking one.

Look, no-one is forcing you to go & you are still a supporter of this club whether you go or not as you do occasionally appear & you do help out with the posters too, but it would be nice to see you up there giving your financial & vocal support too even if its just a hand clap.Was genuinely just trying to help you out honest.Didnt mean to belittle or patronise you in anyway as that was not my intention. Cookie our attendances have not been dropping really have they, will stop trying getting the live streaming of air. Other clubs have it and ther attendances do quite well.

Agree Alex this service is so useful to people like myself who are bed bound. I can now at least hear how the Gate are doing, whereas before I had to wait for a badly written report. It really gets you into the mood and, I know that as I listen to it it has made it interesting for some of my friends who now actually attend the matches. Thankyou MFC.

I would like to think that we are a professional Club that can cater for all its fans in as many ways as funds allow. Similarly we should be investing in our youth system so that they want to be part of the larger Club set up a they come through the ranks. There was a lad on last week whose id said "Margate FC goalie 2010"! Now that is a Club I wanna be a part of, with fans like that lad and Kenneth!

The point cookie was making and rightfully so is that he'd prefer it if fans would attend games instead of listening to the Gate Chat, if they can attend that is. If they literally cant make it then its fine. The higher the attendances the better for the Club coffers.

 

In my case, Cookie prefers that I actually attend the games if its a midweek one, instead of listening to the commentary. Its a fair point. Its a preference not a demand.
