Barry scott you p***k i know how to spell. If your dumb enough not to see the broken words, you're thicker than i thought.........

Fixed it for ya. And It has nothing to do with the quality of the players we have brought in because we do have a decent squad at the moment that should be vaguely comfortable in the lower reaches of mid-table. But in most of the games I've seen some (i.e. not all) players have looked like the just don't care in the slighest, and that is what I have a problem with.

Name them? The recently departed Glynn for a start and good riddance.

Again it is about realistic expectations. I don't expect every player in our squad to be as passionate and committed as Wilko. Frankly the man is a freak (in the nicest possible way) as most mid 30s players who endure the amount of pain he does to play football would throw in the towel rather than cripple yourself. However, seeing as you've challenged me I want Wilko to be the benchmark that our players are judged by.

Now, the AFC Wimbledon game aside which was a great team effort, who else in the squad has come close to Wilko standards of passion and commitment in recent matches. Jarvis is on that radar, Daly, Woodruffe too. Beyond that the performance as a whole has been disappointing.

It doesn't feel right to moan at a winning team, which I suppose we are at the moment after Arlesey and Cobham. The fact is though that those matches were truly dreadful and if those performances were to be repeated in league matches, we've got a lot of beatings to look forward to.

On Saturday the supporters were well up for it and there was a good atmosphere in the first half. But it fizzled out because of the quality on the pitch and the fact we were lucky to hold on for the win against inferior opposition.

As a final point, it may not have escaped your attention but this is a FANS forum and like it or not, this is a place where we will sing the praises of players, bemoan the lack of effort and comb over recent performances. If you feel we are over-critical, the best way for you to respond is to do your talking on the pitch. Jarvis is still far from a fans favourite but he is doing his level best to prove the doubters wrong on the pitch. Rather than come on here looking for an argument with the supporters, perhaps you would like to do the same?

Or perhaps going out on the pitch and proving to us fans that you actually give a crap. Seriously, if I was the gaffer I would print out a load of what is said on here (mostly by me), pin it up on the dressing room and say "Right, this is what our own fans think of us. Prove them wrong." It'd be naive to say that the players don't read this forum, as evidenced by the Cowardly Rebel above, but are they doing anything to force these things we say back down our throats. No, they're just content to go out on the pitch and half-[****!!****] it for ninety minutes and those are the players I don't want in a Slough shirt and this team doesn't need right now.

KT, you've missed out Ani and Dell.

Ani always runs his b*llocks off and Dell has always given 100%.

IMO opinion the two most frustrating players are Alexis and Mason.

Alexis has the ability to go much higher in the game but his actual effort and involvement in games is sometimes lacking. Perhaps thats why he's still at this level?

I think Mason puts the effort in but for some reason he has'nt been the same player since he came back from that bad injury.

I'd disagree re: Alexis, I think he works bloody hard, but agree with your additions of Dell and Ani.

King Tut has it spot on, on Saturday we were chanting and singing, cheering and roaring fort he first 35 ish minutes and then the atmosphere went to pot... because we expected a better standard of football then what was displayed in front of us. I just hope I'm not naive in still thinking the best of the team, and saying that its still very much early days and with a few more training sessions the lads wil start to know where everyone else is and play as a team.

In my view the main two differences between league teams and non-league teams are:

1) Level of fitness - perfectly understandable - our players have day jobs

2) Consistency.

It is the lack of consistency that I find frustrating. And we are one of the worst offenders. I would quite happily watch us play the way we did against AFC every week regardless of the result. The team that day worked so hard that it did not matter that at times the quality was not there.

Matt Glynn effectively walked out of this club when he just gave up in the last minute against Tonbridge. I could never support a player who did that and I hope he really enjoys his time at Marlow United. He could have been a star for us with a bit of application.

I have been pretty open minded this season and as far as i am concerned Jarvis has been a total legend. I even nominated him for man of the 1st Quali on 606 (which cost me 10p!!!)

It just seems that everything has got really arsey around here recently (i can understand why the likes of Ian and Chris are talking about shying away from the forum- and they are people that are bedrocks of the club)

Whats really annoying though is, IMHO, we have a talented squad and should not be worrying about releagtion:
Drakey was a legend for Hampton and still looked a great keeper at windsor.

Jarvis has been superb M.O.M in all but 1 game iv seen this season.

Leach and Daly both look solid at the back.

Alexis and G have more skill and repertoir in one toe than many players in this league have in their whole body.

Wilko is the man.

Mason can do wonders at times/ Moleski has moments of brilliance and as he matures will be quality.

Annie looks a natural finisher and has pace (as does Harris)

Dell, when not crocked looks threatening whenever he gets forward.

Apologies to everyone left out but that wuld be my first eleven, and its a good enough side to comfortably finished midtable. if 100% is given.

Problem is chicken and egg..

Players give up= Pissed off fans= aggro= players give up more= more pissed off fans= more aggro.

Now, i am not going to try to convince anyone that if all the fans start chanting we will become world beaters but it sure as hell would make my Saturday afternoons more fun- AND WOULD KEEP NEW FANS AND ENCOURAGE NEW ONES.

So, most supporters seem to think we have a team of talented players, capable of finishing mid-table but at the moment we have the look of a team that has players who are not trying and on current form are looking one of the favourites to go down.

If the above is correct then what is the problem?

It can't be that they're not being paid (surely not) because most of the team are being paid a pittance if anything at all.
