The FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round

Oh shut-up the bloody lot of you!!

It's the FA Cup - ANYTHING can happen! Lets enjoy the day, take lots of fans and make plenty of noise!!

I go to Slough to enjoy the day out on away games - lets try and get that back as of late it's been an awful atmosphere behind the goal at times.

FA Cup - we'll do our best, not the easiest game, but IMO not a lot between some of the Ryman sides and Conny South sides. Lets try and think a bit more positively for a change.

Bring em on...

hi all dave here

we all have to pull together and we will find gold. a result against farnbrough. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bounce.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bounce.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/alert.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/alert.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/angel.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/angel.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/angel.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/angel.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/angel.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/chat.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/busted.gif" alt="" />

i think on are day if we play well we will poss get a draw and bring them to windsor. not sure they would be so comfortable playing at stag meadow.

we could suprize them and cause a mini upset and then who knows next.

i will have a tough week with lots to do and the dreadfull loss of are dearest pet cat smudge

so to get somthing out of folkstone and carsholton would make things a lot better and we may stop the wrott and are reicpct freefall and evon a small cup run or too would not go a miss but will be hard. but any games coming up are winable evon farnbrough so up the rebels

see you sat i know this is tricky league match

At last, some optimism!

Looking forward to the game already, always like playing sides from higher divisions.

I agree.

The odd moan, every now and again is ok, but not continous moaning.

If continually cheering for your team makes them play better, then continually moaning at them will make them play worse.

To quote a player interviewed by Charlie "All the chat about me being not strong enough gets on my nerves"

If we are continually moaning about the performances, we are contributing to them as well.

Yes - they are playing poorly,

Yes - we have a right to moan,

Yes - we pay to watch them play,

but from now on let's really get behind them and help their performances and their belief get better and stonger.

Horsham, I totally agree. When we first started coming to Slough, what bought us back week after week was the great atmosphere behind the goal, the great support of the team and the relationship between the team and the fans. I'm really sad to say that that has pretty much gone now.

There is constant bickering and moaning all round the ground, there seems to be hostility between the fans and the players and the whole atmosphere has changed completely. I hardly read the forum now because it is too depressing.

If we can't get rid of this total negativity it will be a sad day for Slough Town

I hope that we can get that atmosphere back because I think it is what has kept most of us at Slough over the years. I don't think it is any coincidence that the "best years" have been when we won the majority of our matches. Let's hope to put both right on Saturday.

Its this message board that has changed things in my mind.....

best just to ignore some of the negative comments...I am learning to do this...

and I don't bother to come on here much these days...because it depresses me even further...

But once a Rebel always a Rebel... Slough Town Until I die....

You are right in what you are saying Kay, but i have lost any respect i had for the players after what has happend in the last few years. It started with CJ p*****g off after being paid and looked after for a year, and ended with Hodge. I thought he stayed at Slough last year because he liked the club, then you find out after he's gone that he was on shed loads of money and has p****d off for more. The players at this level are as bad as all the rest.

Barry scott you p***k i know how to spell. If your dumb enough not to see the broken words, your thicker then i thought.........

As for you fans, its not all the players fault if we had a budget to get good players in, we wouldn't have this problem! So we have to deal with it, get behind the players instead of getting on their backs..............

Anybody else impressed by the comedy double spelling mistake?

If players really want to come on here and engage the fans in debate then can it be done in a constructive manner. Having a pop at the heart and soul of the club just isn't going to heal any wounds. We are all perfectly aware that money is tight and in a perfect world we would have more cash for better players. However you have to understand that we are not unrealistic in our expectations. The more optimistic among us hoped for mid-table at best this season while lots felt relegation was on the card. The disappointing aspect of some performances to date has been the lack of fight. The supporters will stand by their club through thick and thin, and it seems like a lot of thin times ahead, but we will not tolerate apathetic players who do not play for the shirt.

I wish a few more fans would stay after the games and chat to the players. I think the older ones especially are giving there all.

Personally tho i thought the atmosphere behind the goal in the first half was pretty good.

What percentage of supporters contribute to this forum? Loads of supporters don't, they might read it but quite a few i speak to you think it is just full of moaning gits.
