My view, is that Dave is a good player and would give us more cover in defensive positions.

 

Should he keep being allowed back after deciding to leave the club on three seperate occassions?? That is a different matter.

Agree with LS and Gazza. Dave is a good player and a nice guy too. However, I'm not too sure whether it is sensible for a player to come back to the club on 3 occassions. JC has commented in the past that Dave is always after the money so what are the motives on both sides this time?

 

hope the ex-Town guys do well at Ilford this season. The likes of Roy, Chopper, Sooper Kev, Geordie etc were great servants of our club.

Add me to the list, I agree too. Excellent player but you can't keep going in and out like a randy rabbit. It's unsettling for the squad and will pee off other players competing for that position.

I am a little surprised too. I think Dave Allen's best position is right back. I think Paul Campbell's best position is right back. No question in my mind which of the two should start.

Yes David Allen has had almost as many come backs as Frank Sinatra!

No I always like the Centre Half pairing of David Allen and Al James they worked well together even for EFC & ETFC.

JC must have ate a lot of humble pie to realise his mistake in letting David go and having the bottle to ask him back. Respect to both JC and All Rumours.

Just promise me you won't have the old physio back the new one is a pleasure to the eye bless her!

Well David was back and it was a pleasure to see him out there again in a town shirt. Anticipation, pace and great recovery. Shame about some of the final balls but still a great return!
