I can't really fault the teams football and work rate this season but we do seem a bit physically lightweight up front. Despite our attractive football, we seem unable to breakdown the big and strong defences in this league, especially at home.

 

I think that we need someone big and strong to unsettle defences and help create some chances.

 

I believe that we are unable to sign anyone until the next transfer window in the new year which seems really stupid. This gives a club like City 5 games at the start of the season to get used to the challenges of a new league and identify areas that need strengthening. Also , in the early part of the season, opposition teams will still be finding their feet and will not be a true relection of the style and level of football for the season ahead (i.e. Kidderminster).

Pretty sure we can bring in a loan signing or too if needs be, no?

You can make loan signings and also players that are unattached to any club.

I thought that you could only make loan signings in "exceptional circumstances", whatever that means.

You can sign a player on a non-contract basis if they are from a League lower.
