Well I don't deny that but I can't understand why you and the likes of Lato can't be a bit more supportive of us and give credit where credit's due. These are lads who virtually live on the streets of Camden, similar to the street kids in the slums of Rio de Janeiro, who the Club have painstakingly nurtured along from the tender age of twelve and given them an opportunity to play the beautiful game at a high level. With some it was literally a straight choice between football over drugs, alcoholism, male prostitution and prison and I'm pleased to say they have grabbed our arm out of its socket in no uncertain terms, what better success story is there than looking at the division 1 league table this fine morning.

Lato - Again I'm not with you I'm afraid, MB100's last post didn't make much sense either and I'm beginning to think it's a Ruislip Manor thing possibly originating from that 3-1 pre-season friendly win we had at Grosvenor Vale which I got the impression put one or two noses out of joint. Gregg is the perfect Chairman and makes a laughing stock of Aki 'Sugar' Achillea at Haringey Borough, he has taken some huge gambles this season which have all paid off hence our league position, if Aki did likewise at Coles Park then Haringey would possibly not be fighting relegation season after season.

Rhodes..I don't wish to be rude but we really couldn't give a (insert appropriate word) about that game,it was a PRE SEASON FRIENDLY!!!!. it put no noses out of joint becasue we fielded a reserve side. As I said at the time you have a good side for Division 1 and I wish you well but I don't particularly like or need to see all this "the team are telepathic", "they know what each other have for breakfast", "we are a facsimile of Brazil 1970 or Leeds 1972" trash that you have been spouting since the day you joined KTFC. It is a load of crapola and does not endear yourself to anyone as the recent posts have suggested. Infact it makes you something of a laughing stock which is probably not the image you are trying to get across given the amount of work you put into Kentish Town FC. Or maybe as I alluded to before it is because it is all part of a subtle plan on your part to provoke reaction. There is nothing wrong with supporting and promoting your team but please try to do so in a reasoned way. With the exception of possibly Gavin, no one else insists on the same over hyping of their side on this board everytime they win and as such they have everyones respect. We all like to see our own teams win and some are more fortunate to see it more than others but no one goes on this board bragging about what a bunch of superhumans their team are because they won. Yes you are entitled to your opinion but please try to do so in considered moderation and you may have more reasoned conversations with everyone else.

 

 

Myself and MB100 (who has commented himself that you NEVER reply to any of his comments) have some good friends at Haringey so please can you refrain from 'dissing' them no matter what they did to you. We are also fortunate enough to be on good terms with Greg who is an ambitious man and hopefully will achieve his aims in football.

And weren't Haringey struggling against relegation year after year before Aki went there? Unless I'm mistaken, Aki has only been Chairman for two years. In fact, every year YOU were there they had a relegation battle. Coincidence?

Lato - Thanks for your lengthy post earlier and point taken however as I've said before the Forum is all about opinions and I wouldn't dream of reprimanding somebody for voiceing their's just because I didn't like it or happened to disagree. The Division 1 league table is there for everyone to see with Kentish Town sitting two points clear at the top following painstaking work by all concerned so how can that possibly make me a laughing stock, surely the opposite is true.

I only joined Haringey shortly before Aki 'Sugar' Achillea took over the reins from former Chairman Peter Lawlor and yes every year was a frustrating battle against relegation as is the case so far this season, without me. Anyway I had no say in team affairs at Haringey so how can their performances and final league position possibly have had anything to do with me as you appear to be suggesting.

You seem to be claiming that the spectacular results at Kentish Town are in some way something to d owith you? Can't have it both ways!

Horace - I'm not claiming that in the slightest and don't know where you get that impression from, I'm purely Club Secretary and don't have any influence or say in Managerial or Coaching decisions at all despite the fact I introduced our head Coach Clement Temile to the Club, the former Nigerian International player who has graced the game at the very highest level and is UEFA 'A' qualified. Mr Temile takes all the credit not me, anyway nice to see you acknowledging our 'spectacular results', many thanks.
