ODoesn't give me much pleasure to say it but the Oxhey Jets goal was an own goal by Dave Cooper.

Can I nominate us for result of the week though???

Good win for The 61FC

Rak - I'm afraid I've lost count, he has scored in every game. No I haven't seen Ossie at all and to be honest I don't think Frank and Clement would need him for the First Team the way we're playing. How did you get on today as I haven't seen the result.

Rak - Thanks, no guesses what my next question is, how many did he score. Don't get me wrong I rate Ossie but Maradonna, Cruyff, Pele, Gerd Muller and Bobby Charlton would all struggle to get into the team at present the way we're playing, this is even without Thomas Kanaris who is suspended and kicking every ball from the touchline.

They would now given they are all 'retired' <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />though I still reckon they could run rings round most if not all of the KTFC side and indeed and SSML side.

In answer to your question none as he was only a sub. Rak got a full game though

A very pleasing result for us today Lato, I work with a SSML ref who run the line in the Colney Heath vs Padbury United match and he told me how impressed he was with Padbury despite the defeat, so I was a bit worried about getting a result there so to win 5-1 is excellent.

I was disapointed to see your score, I thought that you would have got past Oxhey Jets, what was the match like and was it a fair result?

Looks a bad day for Premier Division members of this board with Broxbourne, Hertford, Edgware, St Margaretsbury and Biggleswade United all losing.

It was a poor game really. Like I said Oxhey scored a goal and defended it well. We missed two good chances at 0-0 and I think if we had taken the lead we would have won. We had a lot of pressure in the second half and based on possession probably deserved a draw but the Oxhey keeper had a good game and his team held on.

I don't think it was a fair result but they scored (well we did for them) and we didn't at the right end so I suppose that is all that counts.

AWK - Congrats on your result today, you must be over the moon as I am to be top of the league, I'm having a few cans at home to celebrate.

Aren't Brimsdown above you on GD Rhodes?

Sounds like it was just one of them days Lato where it just doesn't run for you, hopefully you will have better luck over the next week when you face a couple of tricky matches at Edgware and Royston.

Cheers Rhodes, very happy with the win. I must admit I expected you to win at Cranfield by more than you did, and I was under the impression that you were second in the table, one more goal though would have put you top on goal difference. Still you must be very pleased with you position at the moment.

Lato - You don't miss a trick do you, I think there is just a goal between us. Brimsdown must be quaking in their size tens at the prospect of facing us in due course, obviously they thought it would be a one team division this season little realising that they will be given a run for their money, I gather they are paying their players a small fortune whereas ours play for the love of the beautiful game, it shouldn't always be about money.

Didn't help that we lost our manager on Thursday evening and our physio had to take the team. Still, you shouldn't really score 3 at home and lose.

They were a lot better than their lowly league position would suggest and we only hammered the final nails into their coffin towards the end of the game when we made it 2-0 on 80 minutes and 3-0 on 85 minutes. It is also a very nice friendly set up with a superb Clubhouse and a great playing surface which once again suited our so called Brazil '70 style, they also produce a decent programme.
