this was a real blood and thunder up and under cup tie on a very poor and bumpy pitch....

 

the home side set out to intimidate the little old urchins and cue the hero jamie southon who fought for 80 minutes in midfield right amongst some atrocious tackling and elbowing which the very sad officials failed to see for some reason...

 

4 good first half chances fell to simon parker who hit the bar with one of them with a 20 yard screamer that had the keeper beaten and one or two half chances to the motormen...

 

looking like stalemate at half time when crossy and janners combine with some excellent footie and janners slots it in for 1-0 half time...

 

motormen equalise on 52 (miles offside) as jamie heroically continues to fight the midfield battle (at one time 20 players were all in the centre circle).... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/boxing.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

 

a janners penalty on 57 settled it but not without some anxious moments as the home side pushed forward to get the equaliser...9 minutes stoppage time and into the draw on monday... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" />

 

oh yeah....

 

and some fcker squirted paint stripper on me jeep in the car park....... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

never have sympathy garibaldi..no one gives it to us....they used every trick in the book today to win that game and it was a tough passage.......we have several injuries as a result of the refs inability to spot a foul...

I thought the team did very well today on a poor pitch against a side who felt it ok to lead with the arm and push and pull all afternoon.

Their bench bleated and moaned throughout the entire afternoon so I suspect this match won't feature large in their DVD!

I'll be back there on Tuesday night though how they have the cheek to charge £7 to get into that disgrace of a stadium is beyond me! Don't you have to pass safety checks? Some of the rows of seats are loose in their moorings.

Well done lads and let's hope that the perpitrator of the vandalism to Unc's car gets his just desserts.

we already have had a look at the video so no doubt we shall identify said manic paint stripper in due course....it will not be reported on here however but perhaps some mention in national missing persons lists....?

and indeed we shall all be back on tuesday to see the 'return of the elbow'....might have 6/7 new faces in the starting line up mind after the casualty list has been compiled.......

They certainly got stuck into us.

 

Poor pitch and not one to play good football on. It's a shame we couldn't use the talents of Cross, Janners and Tiff more as they could have bamboozled their heavy weight back 4.

 

Thought their number 11 gave our right back a torrid time as he continually outpaced him, but in the end the right result was gained through two bits of class.

 

Bring on Romford in the next round, I say.
