Not so sure we will win Tuesday-reckon sods law dictates we will play well and lose;but plenty of other reasons to be postive.

 

If it was'nt such a vital cup game, we would have got a point on saturday and consoled ourselves that the defence did not concede.

 

Different perspective though because it was a cup game,and for me, a cup run this season was vital,although i did not expect to reach the play-offs.

 

It may just be that this team can reach the play-offs-they are good individuals and most of the time we are a good team aswell.

 

Our expectations have risen over the last 4 weeks-probably justifiably-but these guys are part time and not superstars-it won't be great every week.

 

You can't play well every week,and in a league match saturday would have been seen as a day when we played badly but scrapped a point-because it was the cup-it takes on a different perspective.

 

we are still unbeaten at HDP under RT however-so arguably, HDP is turning into a fortress-important if we are going to get to the play-offs.

 

we have a stronger squad this week than last week.

I am bored with all the hysteria on this forum. A few weeks ago we were world beaters now the team should be birched. Yes, Saturday was very poor but Fleet are a handy side, on current form they would not look out of place in the Premier Division.

A football season lasts nine months, there will be ups and downs.

Well said Coffin Ender I dont usually join in such stuff as Margate are still my team however they playand they sure dont go out there on purpose to play badly. Just didnt like the personal attack on June so had to say something

i think its just the sheer frustration of knowing how good we really are and watching the rubbish served up in the last 3 games.im sure we will be back to our best soon, but saying its ok when it clearly isnt does nobody any favours

I agree with Coffinender. The season is 9 months long. we have had a great start, lying in 3rd place only 1 point of the top.

The team are going through a bit of a rough patch, any problems (flu/knocks) will be magnified by the small size of our squad.

The introduction of Pat Sappleton to the team saturday was a breath of fresh air. The guy looks a winner, he as pace, won every thing in the air and you could hear him all over the ground.

With the addition of Super Jay next saturday we will have another engine to power us forward.

I would love to see another specialised forward on the books, fingers x'ed.

The Team are certainly better to go through a rough patch now than 6 or 7 months down the line. The Club and the management have and i am sure still are working hard to counter our mini slump, so lets cut out all this petty back biting and like them get on with it.

Yes SSS, you were right last season about the last occupant of the management seat. This said i will still say we are here to support the club and not, intentionally or not to undermine the morale of those who are working dammed hard to give the club success.

So, it's a win tomorrow night and 6 points in the next 2 games. £ games in 7 days. That's a tough call especially against Wimbledon and Bromley.

Never mind its onwards and upwards from now.

Yep-here goes. Instead of getting all "emulsion-al" perhaps we should hope the team "brush" up on their "silk"y skills so we can stop all this ran"tin" and then maybe we'll "roller" few teams into the ground. I know my puns maybe a "paint"oo some of you but we need to "lighten" up a bit on here. Lets show some "spirit" eh?

As brilliant as your comment was Cookie I'm going to choose to "gloss" over it.

Could be a bit chilly tommorow night at Fleet so don't forget your "new coat". Hoping to get to the game meself but I'm a bit short of "Monet" ( see what I've done there ). Better behave though as I've heard they've got a bit of a strict "Constable". Lets hope we "stroke" the ball around well-sorry, it's all going to "pot" now.
