Happy Christmas!!

I know it is early, but I have had an idea, I spoke briefly to Glen about it last night but it was still in the development stage!!

It is about time we did something for our more senior members, I know some cant afford away games. What about laying on Christmas Party for pensioners with a nice day out thrown in.

On the day of the Harlow or Potters Bar game!!

It would go like this:-

11.30 Meet in bar free beer and mince pies!

12.30 Board free coach to match (small gift for each on coach, maybe scarf etc)!

3.00 Free Entry to match!

5.00 Return to Park Lane to Free Glass of Mulled wine and more mince pies and a little goody bag followed by supporters club kneeze up in the bar!!

I would be more than happy to get involved in fund raising for this event maybe even a sponsor a pensioner myself!

Qualification for participation could be over 65 and a regular attender at home games/reserve, maybe nominated by a supporters club member!!

I am sure the away club would give us a block discount!

I know a a bakers that would give free mince pies!

Somoene must be able to throw in a few bottles of wine to be mulled!

Come on lets do something, I promise the atmosphere in the club that night would be fantastic, you never know we may even see a few Zimmer frames appear in the sheds!!

Seats allocated on a first nominated first served basis upto the maximum that can sit on a coach!!

What do we think and would you help!!

its a little insulting to them isnt it

Naah!!

A few years ago this would have been the norm!!

Have you never heard "they dont do enough for the pensioners"!!

Its also a way for the club and its supporters to show how much they have appreciated their support over the years.

We have had some of our best performances away this season, it would be good for them to soak up the atmosphere!!

Mind you I got so excited when we scored at Sudbury, especially after their keeper said "who the F^ck is Dobbo".

If it was me dear old dad, I reckon he would have keeled over and expired on the spot, mind you knowing him that is how he would want to go half p^ssed at a football match!!
