Ball Boy Scores Goal In Brazil

Needless to say a female referee. LOL.

Totally against the laws of the game as it didn't go in off the ballboy during open play [which would be allowed] but was from a goalkick with no one else touching the ball other than the ballboy, therefore play hasn't actually restarted.

Apparently the referee is blaming the linesman - good to see they don't work as a team in other countries as well as ours!

I read about that and somehow thought it would be less bizarre. Great decision that. Should have tried that on Tuesday when one of the oppo's players called for our supporters to climb on the pitch to remove a ball.

Does that mean ball boys at WEFC will have to start coming to training... could be usedful to have the odd extra defender or forward... what about timely interventions in midfiled... just imagining the fall out if a ball boys runs on and tugs down the shorts of a player about to curl in a freekick... could be too good to be true!!!

True story... i was playing an exhibition hockey match at an RAF tournie during the second Gulf War (but in the UK), made a superb tackle stealing the ball of a strikers stick and about to sweep up and my (then) landlord (a good friend playing for the opposition) rugby tackled me (superb tackle by the way) in the D (think penalty box), the Umpire (no refs in Hockey) obviously did not see what went down (other than me and Andy) and awarded a penalty. His fellow umpire shrugged and thought he was "in" on the act...result, a goal. Gutted, but on reflection so funny!

The crowd (about thirty people) thought it was hillarious!

Still we went on to win. These moments in sport keep us sane I guess..

Any other personal funnys in sport? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/alk.gif" alt="" />
