the bust-up between Browne and Winston, which I've heard very little about. I wasn't at the game today so could someone please fill me in on what happened and why, and whether it could be important? I certainly would not want to see Sammy leave the club.

I think it was just handbags . Not as though Sammy stormed off !

Browne told Sammy to pass the ball and Sammy started moaning, so Browne brought on Davies. Seemed to have all calmed down when he went off and I don't think was was that big a deal.

Hopefully there will be a decent crowd Wednesday as well. Anyone know why Dean Palmer did not start? Is it something to do with that permanent shin/knee problem he has?

I personally thought it was a little bit two faced of Browne. Moments before/after, Byron went running along with the ball with Sammy unmarked on a simple square ball across the field which would have put him clean through. Did he get the irritated shout? No. So then why do the same to Sammy?

 

Fair enough, every manager has his favourites, but that really annoyed me yesterday.

About Palmer not playing.............he felt he was fit and was "desperate to play"..........so as usual the team selection made a lot of sense ?!?!?!?

Not that I'm prone to defending Steve Browne but don't players always think they're fit even when sometimes they're not completely? Maybe Browne was being cautious with away matches against Northwood and Wealdstone in the next three weeks.

 

Of course I could be wrong and it was just another bizarre selection policy!
