Is it brighter on the other side?...

Josias Carbon: Yet to be given his debut by Staines in the league. Has thus far only played Capital League games

Glen Harris: Pretty much a sub now and does not always get on for Hampton

Mark Avery: Dropped and now a sub for Oxford City

Andy Ballard: Started the season on the bench for Abingdon and is now nearly always taken off at some stage in the match.

Ian Hodges is probably the only one who has been a success since leaving the Rebels so far...

It tends to be that they go to "big spending" sides. Staines, Hampton and Eastleigh all spent fair amounts of money and presumably have decent sized squads with competition for places. We tend to have a first XI and then squad players. One of the main reasons I was opposed to Al's move to Eastleigh was that their manager said he would be competing with two other players for the left side role. He did well for Salisbury last year but last time I looked he was on the bench for them.

Got to agree with you Woody. I mean that Hodges guy was rubbish and couldn't score for toffee. Haddow was useless and should never have been nominated for player of the round in the FA Cup, let alone have a VIP day out in Cardiff. We really over-egg our players!

And obviously Alan Devonshire (England and West Ham) is an infinitely worse judge of a player than the mighty Woody who famously got total body cramp when Chopper Harris scored the winner against Walsall.
