We went 3-0 up (Cooper 2, Redford) after about half an hour. They scored 2 from almost identical free kicks in the next quarter hour.

Second half both keepers made good stops - one in particular by the LC keeper - a one handed save from a Cooper header. We had a goal disallowed for offside (Neilson) which wasn't from where we were standing. Coops got sent off for something he said to the linesman. An exciting 0-0 second half.

Thanks, sounds like I missed a very good game, debate should I go on Saturday now? The lads have to keep on the pressure. Sure I will be there, I hope the team are and get a good result.

Coops sent off for saying something. I am not having that. Can I come to the appeal as a character witness !

You could take that ref to spec savers with you !...never known a ref to have a good game when being assessed !

Do you think it's because they only assess the muppets that continually get low marks? Krooner.. how does it work?

New rule this year NF. Previously Officials were promoted mainly on Club Marks. The FA wanted that diluted so there aim is now to have at least 50% of all marking (Premier games) covered by an assessor. Not sure they will make it this year but that is the target. Hence you will see a few more games with assessors.

Krooner....Kev Cooper got sent off for calling the lino a cheat (which in the circumstances was spot on)....the new rule this season is bans are now games...how many games will he get for this ?

Think you will find most officials will take being called that in a worse way than being sworn at. You may think they are bad but to say they cheat is very harsh and will probably get more of a reaction from most officials.

He will get a 2 game ban, starting on the 21st day after the offence. So he misses WGC in the Challenge Trophy on the 3rd Oct, and either the so far unorganised game on the 7th Oct, or Bigg T home in the league on the 10th Oct.

Kent and cheat. Instant dismissal for me. Should be more than 2 games though. Should be at least 3. Still refuse to believe it of Coops !

its amazing really...i think the ref and lino got called everything under the sun...coops comment was a lot less liberal and got his marching !
