It Was [****!!****] (Again)

Lets all calm down a bit. Now Ramsgate went into that game really fired up and we wasn't, they were better then us down the wings and that is where we did not have our better players out there. Our better players were down the middle and we won most of the battles in the centre of the feild. If we lose to Fleet on saturday then yes start to worry, but todays performance was better then Saturday, but not that much better. Had Hocktons goal been allowed then i think we would have won.

I did not think Ramsgate were that good, which doesn't say much for Margate but most of there attempts were outside the box and most saves SCS made were routine saves. Ramsgate were good down the wings and that is where one of their goals came from. How bad is Mo Tako, the worst player i have seen this season.

Keep the faith, because i am. Up the Gate!!!

p.s At least we have less fixtures to worry about now and only worthless teams play in the Worthless cup aka Ramsgate.

Jeez, I am glad I don't have to watch that every week.
Weak ref did not help, had he stamped on the thuggery a bit early on we might have seen some football.
Thank heavens none of our lads got injured.

Please dont get me started on the officials. I am not doubting the penalty was a penalty because it was, but they did not give nothing to Margate and they gave everything to Ramsgate. The officials had an influence on the result today. HOCKTONS GOAL WAS ONSIDE AS HE RAN BEHIND THE DEFENDER WHEN THE BALL WAS PLAYED!!!

Alex, I do not want to go on about the officials, as it smacks of sour grapes. (Although I agree about Danny's goal, and do not think that Tako should have got away unpunished for trying to take out the goalkeeper).

My point is that I go to see football as a sporting contest, and to watch the skills of the players. If I had to watch the type of game we saw tonight all the time I would not want to go as much as I do.

It was many things, but it was not entertainment. I hate to say it, but Saturday was the much better game from a spectator's point of view, because both sides actually wanted to play good football.

I am afraid I am not of the win at all costs mentality. Because something gets lost then along the way.

I freely admit that that probably makes me a minority of one where football is concerned.

I agree with you there June and the last 10 minutes we turned down the gas, as it did look like it was going to go into Extra-time and then they scored and the first goal won the game for Ramsgate. I dont think the neutrals would have been entertained and they probably won't watch either side again after some of the shambles that went on, on the pitch. At least the supporters behaved themselves with some added banter.
