Mal... sorry LS

If you are going to harp on about our sodding kit perhaps it would be worth remembering that EFC did not always play in white and blue as their home kit and indeed that was NOT their original colours....

tick, tick, tick.....

Jim.I would be interested to know the basic history of Enfield colours of the past?

1.What was the original colours of Enfield Football club

2.What other colours have been used and during what periods in the past.

3.From what year did blue and white become the official home kit...etc.

Coup..I've no doubt any discussion regarding another teams kit is boring to you.Any discussion on Romford would be boring to me.

I was replying to direct questions asked of me.

If people keep the discussion up, i will respond. That is what forums are all about

I never post twice in a row.So a discussion can only survive on any subject if others keep the topic going.

Well I don't think that their blue and orange kit looks too bad but I wouldn't choose it myself.

Is it a coincidence that Towns away kit just happens to be the same colours as Man utd's home kit? I've a funny feeling you were one of the few who were asked for an opinion on the away kit the last time.Am i correct.

Yes, but his choice wasn't what we finished up with (Same as mine wasn't).

you really are a knob some times.
Man U play in red shirts, no stripes
and just to be clear I have no connection with AC Milan.

Now as for YOUR suggestion about changing the home kit, I do think that has merit. Plain shirts in Old Gold, will do me

1) Red & Green (The Enfield Borough Colours)

2) White Shirts/Black Shorts (Pre-War), White Shirts/Blue Shorts, All Sky Blue (60's?).

3) I think that they started with the white shirts/blue shorts after WW2, but not 100% sure.

Secondly ,you must learn to take any lighthearted jibe,in the manor to which it was intented.

Thirdly,Who mentioned stripes? (if fact, who mentioned 'stripes when people where originally asked about 'colours'?).Utd play in red/black/white,do they not? As do Milan AND many other teams.

And so, after a summer where peace and tranquility ruled, where LS found himself welcomed into the bosum of society, olive branches were extended, and I found hope....

Things return to normal and once again the rest of humanity is wrong!

Wait, here it comes....

I didn;t start this,

I only respond when....

I'm not the only one who feels this,

Perhaps if I were part of the inner circle....

tick,tick,tick.....

One of Jims very predictable posts about me being predictable.

Seriously,it still seems that nothing can be discussed ,challanged ,or questioned within the Enfield Town FC forum community. That continues to worry me.

If i make a comment or express an opinion that coincides with the likes of Jim cunneen, Arky,or Bruonb, then i am a moderate who has mellowed and as such i am to be embraced. However if i make a comment or express an option that is different to those posters, then i am once again a perdantic agitator.

My crime this time was to dare suggest that the choice of our current away kit was mistaken, and mearly offered an option as to what sort of colours i would prefur next time. Not exactly a hanging offense ,is it?

I hope those posters that delight in having a constant chip at me,everytime i say anything remotely 'off message', will accept some responsability for constantly turning these sorts of discussions into boring, drawn-out,and picky exchanges.

I doubt anybody would agree, but I'd quite like the idea of us changing from white to the red and green kit, it's pretty unique. Speaking of different there can't be another club on the planet that has Ashford Town's 'lovely' orange and white combo.

Wasn't it Crystal Palace who had 2 diagonal stripes across their white shirt?

maybe we could have a white shirt with blue sleeves and all the colours of the rainbow as hoops!!!!!!

Are you really sure about the rainbow colours?
