Just to silly to be true i wonder if its something thats happend off pitch thats upset the apple cart,i just cannot understand how we can take that kind of hiding,is it money is it the ground issue, forgive me if i am wrong, but to me it just seems unbelievable,ok we are going to lose some games i could never have figured this humilliation.

1 Borehamwood had a plan and they stuck to it for 90 minutes

2 We looked tired and played some sloppy passes which cost us

3 We really went for it in the second half and we were caught out more than once

4 Everything they touched went in

5 It was waiting to happen but we move on and hopefully lessons have been learned so this game is now put to bed, end of story.

bar the few attacks that folkstone made in the 2nd half which were very good , margates quality of play and clinical finishing was fantastic to watch so i would have to disagree on your Folkstone opinion , as for the Worthing game i was not there , but the ground play was brillant to watch . like ive said before its amazing how a week ago we had a bunch of players that were going to turn a few heads and in the space of a few days they are all going to do time for being human beings , the club played and made mistakes yesterday so now they have to sort it out , which they will .

Now we have to help them through it , if they do look through this forum how disheartened must they feel right now , when we put 5 past them at games and we cheer and celebrate with them then they look at this and people say we were not better than Folkstone , WE WERE BETTER THAN THEM 5-1 in my book, that makes us better.

I think he said Steve that we were not 5-1 better.Thats a different thing altogether. I agree with him,the scoreline flattered us that day.On chances to score Folkestone had many chances to do so.8-6 would have been a fair result i.m.o.Like he says above SCS was a hero, mixed with feeble finishing on the parts of the Folkestone lads out there. They were unlucky too at times. However theres is also no doubt that we WERE the better & classier side out there overall, that WAS plain to see.

WE will resume from where we left off I'm sure after yesterday.

The team know the result will have brought comments such as we've seen from yesterdays result.I doubt they will have been surprised at them & I'm also sure that they will want to put things right because of them & because of yesterdays result.

They'll do it,no problem.

fair enough point but what im saying is we were better on the day , one club could attack your goal 20 times and not score the other could do one attack and score , now is that luck or just good team work . Folkstone ran there socks off for 90mins and got no where basically , we just ran around on a crap pitch and did the job we had to do , scoreing 5 goals in the process, with good attrative football when we needed to .

Thats also true! Cant argue with that. The point being made I think is despite the scoreline being what it was did we come away with the same positives that Folkestone did? Could we have kept the scoreline down to a more respectable score? If we did & could have then all is not lost & we should improve further because of it.If we didnt then some hard work & thinking needs to be done.

Had to swop shifts just to get there for the second half on Tuesday otherwise I would have missed the whole game altogether.Hopefully it will be a positive result by the time I get there. If it isnt & we falter then I wont be crying over it but a positive result after yesterday & because its our local rivals would of course be more favourable.

I hope we can settle down to grinding out results in a mature way.

The kamikaze 'sexy football' of 'if they score 6 we'll go for 7' does not do it for me.

I want to see/hear about winning football from the 'Gate.

One - Nil to the 'Gate please everytime.

Thats the way we won promotion to the conference 5 seasons ago.Anything else was a bonus.

Winning football is also what brings the crowds in-not 4-4 draws.

As it is, i think one nils are the most exciting anyway as you are on edge until the end of the match and then can have that euphoric moment when the whistle blows knowing you've hung onto the lead.
