I've heard of Carl Griffiths and to see him join a Step 5 side has to be a coup for them. How big are Brentwood in the ESL ?

they are not big side to be honest. however this season they are no doubt favourites for the title signing boys from last seasons champions hornchurch and now this.

 

carl griffiths won the ryman prem last season whilst with braintree!

Brentwood are only a small club. They finish mid table most seasons

So the question is how can they attract players of that calibre. Are they paying huge cash or does their manager have the right connections. Chipstead in the CCL have signed a couple of players from AFC Wimbledon and that is down to their manager who used to be AFC Wimbledons' manager.

the smallest side in the league are the minnows from romford <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

 

i would suggest the attraction is probably financial as what deadbeat says they are technically a small club with no fans. i see that changing though because if they are successful on the pitch then they are in a good catchment.

Golby has retired from saturday football to concentrate on becoming a professional darts player with Collier

well golby certainly has the stature of a darts player. and ugly too which is a massive bonus to the game of darts.
