Hello,

 

I was at your game at Stag Meadow on Tuesday. Chatted with someone at half time who told the sad story of what had happened with Wexham Park, so as someone who lived in Slough for a while about eight years ago I thought I'd pay it a visit.

That really is a sorry set of photos of the Park. When were they taken by the way?

 

Mind you, it has strengthened my resolve to buy the club as soon as my six numbers come up!

Looks fairly recent to me. I took some photos when we came back from Bromley which show a pretty similar state of affairs down at the ground. It really does bring back some glossed over memories of the place, but will definitely strengthen your resolve not to let us remain homeless.

Having just read Ormondroyds original post, I think he took them this week.

 

It really is depressing isn't it,and frustrating to say the least!

 

Call me an idealist, but it really is quite ridiculous that some sort of compromise cant have been reached, instead of just letting the place go to rack and ruin like it is.

 

It's a bit like the situation with the Skindles Hotel at Maidenhead bridge which has been derelict for some 14/15 years. Huge VAT bill outstanding, and untill it's paid the owners can't sell it, and they can't pay it till it's sold, so the place just rots...seems like a good idea for a book, think i'll call it something like CATCH 22!

I lived for 18 months in Slough, out on the Northborough Estate, and there was so much spare land around there that could have taken a football club that it seems ridiculous that you're playing in Windsor. Slough is an enormous town in terms of land per person. It's such a shame.

 

We konw all too well at Fulham that we'll be having another scrap over our ground sooner rather than later, so I know how lucky we are to be back home at the moment. Good luck to you lot.
