I have just stumbled across some really cool sites (well cool in an amazingly geeky way)

 

The first is the Unofficial world football championship. The premise of this list is the same as the world champion title in boxing. Whoever beats the current world champion becomes the new world champion. The list begins at the worlds first ever international match with the assumption that England were the original holders.

Just for people information it is Venezuela vs current world champions Uruguay

 

There is also a site called the system. The ELO world rankings. World Football Elo Ratings are based on the Elo rating system, developed by Dr. Arpad Elo. This system is used by FIDE, the international chess federation, to rate chess players. These ratings take into account all international "A" matches for which results could be found.

 

This makes France world and European champions
