So Mr Happy how many of the go nows are embittered former staff, players or supporters of other teams then?
Gazza you seem to have a personal vendetta against Chandler and Hammett why not air your views to them after saturday game im sure they are approachable . <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bootyshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bootyshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bootyshake.gif" alt="" />

That's right Maldini. Keep Chandler on, that's what I say. Maybe they'll be another Middx. Charity Cup final to look forward to this season.

Which is more than you've seen in many years. When will the continued investment by EFC's boardroom result in any silverware (let alone gettting back to the borough)? Talking of getting back 'home'.Where is 'home' now for EFC,what with the Management team, most of the playing staff and half of the fans being Herfordshire based.

I'll tell you what though .You current manager is a shrewd old bird.In choosing to keep one player on from the old regime.Keeping the old right-back was inspired. It at least ensures he continues to get funding for the next few years.

Why are you quoting someone else then referring your post to me?

You really are quite dull arnt you Brutus, when was the last time I posted anything to do with Hammett?
As for a vendetta, do me a favour read between the lines in my posts for gods sake, its tongue in cheek stuff, yes I do believe JC is tactically inept, its there most match days for us all to see, & Ive never rated him that highly managerially either, its a personal view, I don't come on here slagging him off or anyone else for that matter.

Oh yeah, are you playing tomorrow Brutus old boy? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/whistling.gif" alt="" />

You will probably find some of the above based at Brimmo!

I think Jim should stay and should be given full support. If I were him and I read this posting I would be well and truely pissed off. Jim is an excellent manager who is always keen to explain his position when we hit a bad patch or have complications in the team.

I wouldn't expect us to be able to find another manager of Jim's calibre without having to shell out plenty on dosh.

Let's get behind Jim and the team and not try and polorise opinions to oust him. If we were to get relegated it would be a different story. Any other scenario and he must stay!

Duke if JC was that good dont you think level 2 & 3 clubs would be coming in for him?

As for complications in the team they are usually caused by him.

Ive just watched the latest Town match where he spent 90 mins sitting on the bench showing no passion or encouragement to the team, Sven Chandler?

Gazza I like you a lot as a person but if you look at the league table after 5 games we have played 2 of the top four and we have AFC Sudbury on Tuesday so that makes 3 of the top 4 in 6 games! So we have had the hardest start to the season and we are still only 5th in the table with a positive goal difference of +5 (even with 2 defeats). Sven Chandler hasn't done too bad and if the players ever really start to cook on gas as a team I'm confident we will make the playoffs. A bottle of Champagne says we make the play-offs?

Agree with most of your sentiments, but lets see how many of those top 3 clubs are anywhere near there come the end of the season, I too do believe our squad is the strongest we have and they will take time to gell, but its the formations & lack of continuity that I believe is the reason for our poor performances & that is only down to one man.

Oh yeah the other Sven reached the quarter finals in three consecutive competitions so is that not bad either then?

2 bottles of shampoo if we play the same back four more than five times by the end of the season!

Ok, lets just say we make the play-offs this season. Can you see JC masterminding promotion via the play-offs after last season's dismal display. I'd love JC to show everyone he can do it but we seem to struggle when it comes to the 'big' games at the moment.

Have EFC won anything since Mr egginton has been in charge at the club? In that time Mr Chandler has collected 7 senior honours including league titles, league cup titles, middlesex cups..ect (that, on probably a lower budget than any of Mr Eggintons previous managers)

Lets not forget that Chandler was the last of YOUR managers to defeat a league club in the FA cup. What would your chairman think are the chances of his current manager being able to take a team of limited ability and go away in the FA cup aganist a David Moyes led, high flying Championship outfit, and come away with a 0-0.Thats what Chandler did when we played Preston a few years back.

Chandler had presided over one of the longest runs of away games without defeat that any senior non-league club has ever achieved and until the end of last season ,was the only manager to preside over a club that had one honours in every year of its existance.

Mr Eggington IS NOT in charge of E F C he is just a supporter,

Mr Chandler has indeed collected 7 honours ,BUT SENIOR ???? Do me a favour pal. The open topped bus and ticker tape parade must have been really something then.

Chandler just happened to be manager against Chesterfield & preston at the right time , And yes I wont argue with you on that one ,Except some of the players were from the Borg/calder reign. I am a bit mystified as to why you people always have a major post match inquest when things go tits up ,Dont you think jolly Jim has enough problems getting the side right without you people questioning his every move,I think your lucky to have Jim there as I doubt many other managers would put up with the stick you lot dish out at times.

As he has known who I am for years, I doubt he needed you to point me out & I doubt he could see me anyway as the glint from Southports new cubic zirconia earing must have been blinding! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

It certainly put Bryan off for the penalty <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/whistling.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laughuncontrollable.gif" alt="" />

What were the interesting defensive selections,Gazza? Stephens (who is now a full time centre back) partnering Gant.Seemed OK.Campbell on the right.OK.Magona on the left.OK.I would have prefured Bastian there, but he did a good job in left midfield.

That left side was ferocious yesterday, especially Bastian ,who alsays gives 100% and looks to be our best summer signing at the moment.

Black was disappointing again. He lacks fitness. As well as any heading, tacking,or ball winning ability, and at present, i don't think his neat 5 yard passes are warranting him a place in the starting 11.

E.T totally agree regards Bastian also like Liam Patrick both fast & solid in the tackle.

Kevin Stephens looked all at sea yesterday, I prefer him in midfield where he was probaly our best player in the run in last season, why was Tickner dropped? I dont think he has had a great start to the season but with the constant tinkering every week he will never get an understanding with a defensive partner & settle.

As for Magona well words fail me, why push your star left back forward & replace with an ageing recovering from injury slow left back?

A stable defence is a must, left back Bastian, centre backs any two from three of Gant, Patrick & Tickner, right back Campbell and stick to those no matter who we are playing.

Have a look at the five games played so far, and with the exception of Liam Patricks injury there is no consistency is there? which equals no stability, the players need to get use to each other, thats why they were all over the place in the first half again yesterday.
