Player of the Month - August

Due to my services being needed on the gate last night, I couldn't bully people into voting as I would normally meaning a much smaller than average vote, however, thanks to Roger who did manage to persuade 55 people to choose their winner. After all of that, it was a pretty conclusive decision and I'm sure it will come as no surprise to most of you that these are the results;

may i ask why it was done on a tuesday? not that my vote would have made any difference since i'd have voted for jarvis anyway, but thought generally you'd have got more votes on a saturday?

Well done Jarvo and very much deserved. How fickle fans can be as where are the Jarvis out chants now? I hope he is enjoying his time here at Slough and may long it continue. Well done to Eddie for sticking to his decision to bring Jarvis to the club.

Fickle? Of course, but aren't all football fans? Jamie was kind enough to take the time out to apologise to Emma which was my/our main concern.

 

He knew he had to knuckle down and keep his nose clean to start with and he's done that, so fair play to him, lets hope he can keep it up.

Charlie, I wasn't going to do it on Tuesday but as anonymous says we don't have another home game until the 23rd which would have been a little late. Generally I always try to do the vote at the first home game of the month.

We may be fickle, like all football fans, but it doesn't mean we will not appreciate someone playing well. I myself voted for Woody, but it was close for me between the two of them.

same here, it seemed like a better idea to vote for a player who was here last season who has improved rather than a new signing at this stage.
