Oh we know we`re not in the Conference anymore and it`s always nice to win a cup but as i`ve explained before i can`t get excited about this competition and it seems i`m not the only one

I would suggest most teams take it very un-serioulsy as its a mickey mouse competition.

However this year the league have spiced it up with some very contrived fixtures.

 

 

maidscum at Tonbridge is an old rivalry and I would think Ramsgate v margate will be a bit tasty. ALtough it means nothing a s a competition there are some huge bragging rights at stake for the fans

bollox,that is an insult to the league and its cup competitions,about time some people realised that this isn't the conference and it could be a long time till you are back there,same as us.I want to win things not finish half way up a league and relying on a big cup game every 5-10 years!

sorry,it just seems that some(not all) are still in conference mode,that this is a mikey mouse game,thats rubbish,it is possibly the only cup competition afc hornchurch or canvey could possibly win but it seems some people would rather lose a game,i always thought the objective of a football team was to win games

it does seem rather contrived looking at the fixtures, but if the priority of canvey is staying in business and making money this season (£9.00!!), then if all the gate money is split 50/50, then surely it is in their interests not only to want to progress in the competition, but also to promote it in order to maximise as many income streams as they can get?

 

or just stick out the reserves in the hope that the 1st team play well in the fa cup...

There is a far greater financial incentive if we have a decent FA Cup run. A derby match before the Lowestoft game could easily cause a couple of injuries, something that we would be keen to avoid.

 

Besides, we will have a lot of good young players out there tonight who have had to wait for their chance, there is nothing to say we may not get a result.

 

I'm not saying I would like us to lose, I would never ever want that to happen. I would just like to beat you with our squad team <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I honestly as a supporter of 13 years and a lot longer than most of you, do not understand what you have to be grateful to him for anymore if he took it away (all for more money) as quickly as we got it. As a very loyal supporter, I do not care for the reasons you give if they are just to praise him for ruining our climb through the leagues. You obviously love being fu*ked over coz i cant see it any other way.

can we stop this effing bitching we as supporters are meant to be one big team supporting our favourite team and cheer them on, if the players were reading this, can you imagine what they must be thinking, now cut it out and lets cheer on our team and supporters postively, otherwise this is going to sprial out of control <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/spank.gif" alt="" />
