Haringey Borough 1 Ruislip Manor 2

Recommended Posts

Our tenth win in eleven visits to Coles Park but we left it late with a last minute penalty winner. In truth we should have won comfortably as we missed a hatful of chances. Haringey look a useful outfit though and I think they will trouble a few teams this year

Lato - Did you get into the boardroom and what was the programme like, any colour photographs. I was surprised by the huge crowd figure by Haringey's standards, did you make it over 60.

Yes I got in the boardroom, very pleasant people as always. No colour photos in the programme and I didn't count the crowd but it seemed quite substantial.

Best I've seen the pitch at Coles park too.

Lato - Yes I thought you might have done as my ears really started burning me about 8.35, I assume Aki 'Sugar' Achillea wasn't at the game going by your comment about very pleasant people, he must still be in Cyprus. As you say your record at Coles Park is quite extraordinary, you could probably turn up there blind folded and still come away with three points.

Actually Aki was there, he and MB100 were engaged in a long conversation. To those who have never had the pleasure of meeting the Haringey committee and are slightly concerned by the 'vibe' that Rhodes gives off about them, I have never had that impression of them and found them to be vey amibale on Tuesday as always. To be fair to Rhodes I do not know the politics of the club and any internal wranglings that may have occurred in the past nor do I wish to. Much to his chagrin no doubt I had no converations about him on Tuesday no did I wish to, so if his ears were burning its probably because he answered the phone while ironing!

Lato - Lol, I don't do ironing but please don't be fooled or taken in by Mr Aki 'Sugar' Achillea. I have no real problem with John Bacon or George apart from the fact that they're 'yes men' and Aki's poodles, similar to Tony Blair and George Bush if you like, none of them sadly want any progress at Coles Park for some sinister reason when everyone can see that the potential is huge if the Club was run properly.

Rhodes is it you don't do ironing or that you don't do irony?

Well whatever but at the end of the day there are some sinister goings on in the corridors of power at Coles Park and rest assured I will be getting to the bottom of it before too long. The Club should be in the Conference at the very least yet they languish at the bottom of the SSML season after season and get beaten by the likes of 'the mighty' Bowers and Pitsea and Halstead Town in the first round of both the major cup competitions, something isn't quite right.

Lato - Teams such as Halstead Town!

Rhodes

What your problem with Halstead, they're a mid table Ridgeons Premier side and would have comfortably been favourites with the resources they have.

The Ridgeons league is a stronger league across the board due to much less competition for players for their teams.

Hi Folks, no just busy today preparing the 50 page programme for tomorrow evenings game at Biggleswade United, it took me all day, I can see you've missed me particularly Lato and Potters Bar Town. Incidentally if Hoddesdon Town want any copies of our programmes sent to Lowfield I'll happily oblige. Can I be man enough to hold my hands up and say that I may have underestimated Halstead Town however Ridgeons Premier League side or not Haringey Borough should be making more of a fist of it than going down tamely at home 4-1.
