FINALLY a passionate performance, very nervewracking but the lads showed real desire to keep it goalless, but were reasonably poor going forward, too many wasted chances, but a few good ones.

the lads showed real passion at the end clapping the fans and showing that they were really happy to have kept it at 0-0.

well done lads lets keep this going on saturday!also well done to the guys behind the goal, getting behind the lads more as the game wore on, especially at the end.

Enjoyable game, fantastic performance. All that needs to be said really.

I thought we were going to be in for a tough game when within the first 15mins we had 3 different players all going down injured.

Definately in need of a striker that can hold the ball up, even the AFC fans around me were saying that!

Wow, what a strange evening...

Started off by me parking my car only for a local 'twot of a' resident to confront me in front of his wife and two children, saying he would 'smash me up' and 'sledgehammer and key my car' if I did not move it - even though I was legally parked!

Don't think he could have been all there in the head as I was probably bigger than him as well! Moved it anyway incase he did key it though. Lucky i'm a calm person, as if it was some of our other supporters he confronted, I think there could have been a bit of trouble!!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Then all the games i've been doing the raffle ticket I win at the game with one of the biggest crowds at Stag Meadow!

As for the game, our cripples did well. I think everyone was injured at the end! For me the back five were outstanding along with Wilko and McCleary. G looked really up for this tonight, hopefully it was because he was back up front, and not cos he wants away. Daly just MOM for me ahead of Jarvis.

Think with a bit more up front and someone to hold the ball up I think we could have created more chances with them pushing forward late on. We still desperately need a targetman in my opinion

Nice to see the lads clapping the crowd as well at the end. Passion and comitment - lets see that every week.

Oh, and some good noise behind the goal in the last ten minutes.

Much much better. Passion, desire and hard work. If we get that week in and week out - you will never hear me complain about on field performances.

It wasn't pretty and on occasions the time wasting was embarassing. But it was clear the boys went tonight with a clear tactic and that was to get a point and they achieved that with a passionate performance that will be remembered for grit and determination. AFC will feel mugged that they didn't win but the defence and Drake kept them at bay, throwing their bodies in the path of shots. We were strong, physical and intent on not losing the match. There is still plenty of room for improvement but the effort was there to be seen.

Special mentions for Jarvis, Woodruffe and Wilko as they were outstanding tonight.

Really good defending from start to finish, real determination not to let them through. Wimbledon dominated most of the game, especially in the second half, but just couldn't break through a resolute defence. Despite this, they didn't often test the excellent Kieron Drake, who, although he had little to do, did his duties very well and always looked assured. I lost count of the number of superb blocks from the back 5.

We didn't offer much going forwards though. Most of our attacking threat came from McCleary cutting in from the wing. One effort at the end was heading for the top corner before it cannonned off a defender's head. But again, we did not test their keeper either. We do badly need a strong striker up front for Ani and G to play off though, as the long ball game just won't work for them.

All in all, fantastic defending with a lot more pride and determination, and the players got the ovation they deserved at the end.

With Wallo struggling with injury it is clear that we do need a physical player to play up top to complement G and Ana. Let's hope Eddie has room in the squad for another.
