All three of our players started the game, Tom Davis being replaced at half-time.

According to England supremo Fairclough:

 

'I think the two central defenders - Dempster and Okuonghae - did exceptionally well'

 

‘We chose Magnus on the performances we've seen him play for Aldershot this season and I think he is one player who has come in and really seized the opportunity with both hands. He looked strong, he looked aggressive, determined and he looked to me to be a winner. In fact throughout the whole game he only made one error which was late in the second half, and I'm not referring to the goal - that was unfortunate - I am referring to one incident in the middle of the park where he got the wrong side of a player purely because he was too anxious to win the ball. He has done very well and we are very pleased with him.'

 

And of Davis:

 

'We know what Tom can do. Tom is a midfielder player who we feel has got potential; he just needs to take a bit more care of the ball.'

 

And Seebs...

 

‘Chris Seeby, I felt, got better as the game went on and looked more comfortable. I personally have seen Chris play a few times now and he looks comfortable in that position, he looks strong. And he looked comfortable playing alongside John Dempster and Magnus Okuonghae.'
