Heard a whisper that gareth might be on the move as he's bored of playing in a poor side, thats under achieving, he wants to play at a higher level, cant say which clubs are interested tho

Yes but as far as i see it what he done last year in his 1st season was outstanding. No one in the squad has performed so how can u expect a 19 year old lad to lead by example? He had hodgey last season, and was playing up front! Think about it if he was in a good team would his performances be good? I put faith in him and think someone should take the gamble......

You are entitled to your opinon but what capricious and inaccurate comment. He's young, still a lot to learn and he knows that. Yeah he may not make the right pass or release the ball when he should at times but to say hes not a team player is amazing. There were no qualms when he was beating players and putting in crosses last season but now key players have left, he's playing deeper he ain't gonna make the same impact yet he's encouraged to take on players which is what he does best. PS Don't listen to CHEAP Whispers.

To be fair how can any of you complain about G's performances. If any of you were footballers you will realise you'll get the best out of a player when he's enjoying playing his football and i dont think anyone at Slough is enjoying there football at the moment. Rather than bicker about the players why not go out with the right frame of mine and back your players and help them to grind out a few results so everyone can enjoy playing their football again. Im sure you'll see the best come out of all the players once you've turned the corner.

Hopefully the corner was last night. There is no doubt G is a tremendous talent and too good for this level of football, but sadly for him, if a scout were to come and watch and saw him not performing to his normal standards, they may perhaps go away and not be interested.

 

There's been a great deal of frustration around the club following the poor results so it's fair to say that supporters are looking to take out their frustrations somewhere.

 

G certainly had an improved game last night along with the rest of the team, and hopefully this will spur all of them, and us supporters, onto better things on Saturday at Tonbridge.

Ive always said G is a great talent but he does need to deliver the easy pass more often, glad he had a good game against AFC and im sure it will be the turning point for him...

 

And if any of the (as always anonymous posters above) had been to any games other than AFC they would see what we are talkign about!

Fair point mate, i have said and said last season he is one of the most talented players to pull on the amber shirt for a good few years, and thats why it frustrates me so. Hopefully we will see him back to the standard he was at last season now.
