I am not writing Margate of at all, but i think Bromley will win the league and we will be very close behind them in either 2nd or 3rd

i have heard bromley do have a good side this year,i know someone who goes to watch them and he says he is very confident of going up

There isn't one. I was just saying that i am not writing the Gate off, but i dont think we will win the league, but we have a good chance.

Let's wait until we meet Bromley, we can get a better idea then.

 

I do not believe there are any teams to fear this year with the players we have. We were wary of Chelmsford until we played them, and then they did not seem so awesome.

 

We should not let Saturday get us down.

Tony-i think our posts only reflect what most of us thought at start of season-in Cookies prediction league not many thought Margate would win the league ,so we are actually being consistent with our start of season forecasts.

 

I thought Staines would but yes, i 'm now thinking it will be Bromley after signing of Blackman aswell,but never thought 'Gate would anyway.

 

Its not doom and gloom to suggest we won't win the league as never thought we would anyway !!

 

I actually thought 'Gate would come 8th,and provided we have a really good FA Cup run i would be happy with that;and it represents progress.

It will be nice not to have relegation worries.

 

Plenty more wins to come our way this season, and indeed plenty more defeats,which we all take on the chin, but no way can i accept a 6-1 defeat at this level of footballas a 'bad day at the office'

 

I did get a bit carried away post Chelmsford when i thought we played well and began to think that play-offs could be on after all,and you are quite right ,yesterday was a reality check.

As we all know, Worthing,and folkestone were somewhat flattering results, but Chelmsford-and indeed Walton-were genuine good performances;although even there, we could have been a goal down in first 10 minutes.

(as i said in another post-i would like us to abandon the free flowing football for the first 15 minutes until we settle down ,and concentrate on keeping the ball in the oppostion half for those first 15 minutes, even if it means hoofing it upfield.

Its not so pretty, but the game (and the business) is about winning.)

I do agree with what U R saying MM,but I still think that after 7 games the GATE R without doubt one of the best in this league,I do belive that Trott will use that defeat to his advantage and turn this around,I will NEVER stop beliving that the GATE cannot win this league until it is mathematical impossible
