How Bromley didnt take that game is beyond me. Credit to Folkestone for throwing bodies at every shot that rained in on them.Keepeer made one of those spectacular saves that only Scott can make. Folkestone had a couple of good efforts but that was about it.Was impressed with Kirk Watts out wide for Bromley. Some good trickery & pace.In fact both flanks caused Folkestone problems. If it had been 5-0 Folkestone couldnt have complained but its down once again to putting the ball into the net & Bromley couldnt.Matata is out now with a broken toe so things just dont improve for Folkestone apart from the hard grafted though fortunate point tonight.Plenty of pace in the Bromley team.A goodish crowd I thought.About 400 or so.Spoke to Jim Ward who mentioned his two new signings, Mo re-joining them plus another signing which is in the pipeline.

Impressed with Bromley, though with the opposition its not that easy to weigh them up.

A point definately won by Folkestone but definately, most definately 2 points lost for Bromley. They must have gone home scratching their heads & kicking themselves for not coming away with all 3.

Still, helps us at the same time. Hopefully we can capitalize on these results tomorrow night.

Steve Ball,I have a programme from the AFC Wimbledon game v Folkestone played last Saturday plus one from tonights game.If you want to look over them & see if theres anything in there that mght give you some ideas for our programme you can have them. Failing that they are available to the first that wishes to have them.Your option first though Steve.Let me know will you.

And i reckon they will remain top at end of season.

really going for it.

I see they've now signed Lloyd Blackman

He was playing in conference last season and saw him trial for FGRovers six weeks ago.He then trialled at Cambridge United and did quite well there .

He looked quality then-a really lively /shoot on site forward.

Frankly he is a class above anyone we have faced so far, so should be a lively night for the defence playing against him in two weeks time.

(and lives in Folkestone ).

I think Bromley are definately hot promotion favourites now

By the way, 51 years ago today we beat them 1-0 in the FA Cup at Bromley, Lionel Phillips got our goal and at the time they were a top amateur team.

Thanks Jeff Trice for the reminder on your site (I did go to the game - very young of course).

We went on to play Walsall and took them to a replay where we got beat 6-1 at Walsall - coincidence!

After 7,yes 7 games and a GATE fan thinks Bromley will win the league what sort of talk is that, bloody hell there is a long way to go,OK we got done big time maybe 4 the best, now we know we must play a bit and not just turn up 2 win a game,I have every faith in what the GATE can do this season, write us off at your peril.
