The coach was indeed bricked but it was outside and away from the ground and can not be directly attributed to the club as it was more likely to be some ruffian off the local estate.

so the coach being moved from its original designated pick-up point, as you say the place to minimise trouble was nothing to do with your club?

I thought the general gist of it was - there was banter between both clubs but an Oxford idiot decided to risk lives and threw a brick at the St Albans coach. Surely the location of the coach makes little difference - if anyone (i.e. non-paying 'supporters') was able to gain access to the said coach it doesn't matter if it was where you left it or where Oxford moved it to.

For the love of Jesus. Sh!t happens. Whassaproblem?

It would seem that an eejit from Oxford threw a brick at the coach. Half a shandy too many, no doubt. Fortunately, no-one was injured, although the Travelling City Faithful were inconvenienced due to the need to report the matter to the local police. Inspector Morse was fast on the trail of the miscreant and one or more were apprehended. Charges may, or may not follow. End of.

It is not entirely clear whether a team of Counsellors from Oxford City Council were on hand in order to provide comfort to the distressed. If it happens again and I'm on the coach, I'll pass on the counselling, thanks all the same, but if it blows your bag, go for it. For me, Paramedics yes, Counsellors no, not ever.

Now can we please move on before I need counselling to avoid death from boredom.

i was on the coach that night and heres the facts

the stewards forced the coach to leave the ground without 13 of our supporters and directed us to the side of the road outside the ground.

3 juveniles proceeded to stone and brick the coach, causing damge to it.the police were called, helicopter up in the sky,the offenders were caught and we were stuck at the police station til midnight.no one on the coach caused any trouble and no one was hurt.just shocked and disgusted that we were put in that position un necessarily by the stewards decision to make us leave the ground.i hope official complaints have been made.

yes it does matter where the coach was when it was bricked.if we had been allowed to stay inside the ground til everyone had boarded we could have driven straight out and home.the stewards should have foreseen the problem in sending us out into the street to wait for travellers.
