Oxford Coach

Putting peices of a jigsaw together from what me and my mates saw on the way out....

There were a bunch of St Albans chavs getting a bit aggressive on their way out, actually that's not strictly true, some idiot with his top off was shouting at some Oxford chavs while his mate grabbed him to stop him fighting anyone. Obviously the Oxford chavs turned around to give some backchat, the stewards and coppers suddenly got a bit interested which made it obvious to all the other Oxford chavs that there was something going on.

All the Oxford chavs ran around, lots of singing and shouting at the handful of City chavs. Nothing really happened, but the Oxford fans were wound up. Some silly kid in a Man Utd shirt, unclear whether he was supporting Oxford for the night or if he was just some Leys kid acting up, threw a brick at the City coach.

Regarding the youngster being thrown out, he jumped the barrier between the stand and the pitch after you scored. This as you know is a a criminal offence and termed as pitch invasion. As it was a police free match (except for 4 or 5 of your finest who came down in a Herts noddy car and an unmarked car for some reason) one of my collegues just chucked him out of the ground - problem dealt with. No ban no further problems.

The coach was indeed bricked but it was outside and away from the ground and can not be directly attributed to the club as it was more likely to be some ruffian off the local estate.

I hope this help clear up the points raised.

PS: It was a brilliant game and your players did not let you down. They are a credit to your club.

yes i was, basically after the game they were walking past sayin EASY EASY etc so its normal to give them a bit of banter back etc then we started to leave then we left wolfman behind so had to pull up and find where he had gone to! while this was going on Oxford 'fans' were walkin past and our rowdy lot (myself included) were just doing the usual banter! next thing you know a brick was launched at the back window and i dont see hoe it didnt smashed then stones etc were also being thrown then we had to go to the police station and one of the younger lads had to give a statement and everyone ended up in a pub next door ! then we arrived home about 1 30 ish i think mayb later
