I see that Horace has changed his signature to the following...

Well Horace, I have printed it out and WILL be putting it up in the HOME changing room on Saturday for our game with you in the Vase. We dont need any extra incentive, but you just gave us one so thanks for that.

 

No one likes a big mouth, and even though we ARE top of the league you will see from my posts that I am NOT gloating, or saying we are going to win the league. NO, instead I am taking each game as it comes, and will see where it takes us.

 

You forgot to mention the game at your place last season when we beat you 5-3. So you beat us the last few times at the WLG, shame you can't beat Holmer Green at home when we beat them SEVEN - nil last Tuesday!!!!!

 

No doubt should you win on Saturday you and the others on this board associated with Hertford will be gloating about and looking to winding me up. No bother, I will gladly have a pint with you and the other Hertford fans on this board after the game, win, lose or draw.

Gavin, the supporters are trying to arrange a bus for Saturday, and the only person gloating will be my oldest Daughter, 13 on the day, if we cannot get on the supporters bus it will be a long journey via puplic transport. By the way she sometimes reads the posts on the forum and has told me it will be a great Birthday present for her if Hertford win.

Do I sense some sort of ill feeling towards Edgware now they are top of the league? I guess we are there to be shot down.

 

As for the game on Saturday, may be the best side win, It's a cup game so anything can happen, shame we had to play eachother as I am sure both clubs would rather have been drawn to play a team from another divison.

Nice on Manic, are we still on for a pint in the clubhouse? It will have to be after the game, as before every home game I am busy helping the club secretary with match day duties. I am also writting in the club programme this season and will have a few articles for our FA vase game, hope you enjoy reading them.

So its your daughters birthday, thats great, what better what to spend it then seeing Edgware in the Vase...ok Hertford I guess for her lol.

As for the bus, I am sure you will be bringing a large number of supporters with you, there should be a decent crowd, hopefully 100+, lets hope its a good game.

Oh yes, we've met him. Last season Horace even offered to pick him up from the station if he couldn't get a lift to our ground.

It's all friendly banter and Gavin knows that - don't worry - he can look after himself!
