That Lino Today

I am Spartacus

In the first half when he was on opposite touchline he seemed to want to be very friendly with the fans and was quite easily influenced.

Then came the second half.

Now with Jeff King et all at him all the time how come did he make so many offside decisions that were not being played for or given in the first half. In my opinion he was got at by the management team of Essex's 4th team in this league (they come behind ETU, Heybridge and Billericay in no special order). Is this the management style learnt from Mr Borg by Mr King?

Funny really but when Danny was through he was pulled back for a foul called by the referee,(which it clearly wasnt) but only on the say so of the linesman. It was obvious that the lino couldnt give an offside so in order to do his 20 flag-ups a minute he thought he would use that situation to do so again.Hope he gets a prize for getting his quota in. A demotion would be appropriate.

Well I must say that from my position in the standard furthest away from the Hartsdown Road end we got caught out far too much. The lino seemed right most if not all of the time. But even if he was wrong why were we trying to beat the offside trap when the wind was in our direction???

Also how many times did his flag stay down when (especially number 4) were appealling for offside????

As fans we are always watching the ball, as officials they are listening for when the ball is played and tend to be accurate a lot of the time.

I do not stick up for officials (see most of the forums I post on) but on this occasion he was one of the better ones.

I would love to see him back at Margate for his decision making in the near future - bear in mind he did our attacking end and we won 3-0 (but as for his legs - they were shocking!!!)
