Edgware win local derby 4-0 !!!!

Recommended Posts

Edgware continued their good form with another victory this afternoon. Kingsbury were not bad, and they had a player sent off on the stroke of half time. The wind also played a major factor in the game, with one of our goals coming from near enough the half way line !!!

We were 1-0 up early on through Stuart Blackburne, who turned and shot very well to give us the lead. The score did not change till the second half when Richard Morton scored from a header, his fith goal of the season. Two more from Lee Gardiner one a penalty and the other, the wind assisted goal from halfway.

Thats four wins on the trot, and the last three we have not conceded which is pleasing. Harefield up next on Tuesday night should be a good test for the team. All in all a very pleasing afternoon.

Good win for you guys again gav....kinsbury's pitch looks in good nick !...looks like the stand has had a make over too !

Not a good day for us Hertford boys...we were poor all round....i could string out a few excuses but we still had enough players to get three points !

The pitch looked a lot better then I have seen it before, but still bumpy, the stand is the same just new seats that were there last season.

Not much else has changed with the ground. It seems to be more the London Tigers then Kingsbury now.

Silver Jubilee Park for goals this season! Unfortunatly not necessarily for the home side. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Congratulations Edgware. Not sure if beating the mighty K(L)TFC will be the benchmark of champions this year but so far can't see past Edgware for the title.

KTFC did you hear the 'noise' we made? I was told by the tigers players that was the loudest they have ever heard. Several of their players wished us luck at the end, fair play to them, and shook mine and my friend's hands.

So you thought we we played well? I thought the tigers posed us some threat, but once you had the man sent off and we scored our second we took control.

We'll be along next Saturday Gav - you going to give it large then?

"Going to give it large" LOL you been watching the football factory again Horace?

If you mean will I be there making some noise then YES, I know we will be well outnumberd by the travelling Hertford fans, (thanks, extra money for OUR club) but If the two of us could outsing TWENTY Ware fans last season, then I am sure we can do the same with yoru lot.

Giving it large, means to be bragging, I am not bragging, even though I have plenty to brag about re Edgware right now.
