Email set to Roy this evening - lets see if we get a reply:-

Roy

As I am an average fan and only have access to news about the club via the clubs site and the fans forum could you help.

Can you please answer some questions below to clarify the clubs present position.

1. What is Martyn Deaners current position in regard to the club and how much longer can you see this continuing?

2. What actions have/are the club doing to find a permenant ground of our own and what communications have there been with Slough Council?

3. What is your view on the performance of the team so far this season considering that only 3 points have been gained in the first 5 games?

4. What are the longterm (3-5 years) objectives of the club?

I would be grateful if you could answer these questions.

Regards

Clive Tuck

one of are biggest problem is which i see when i watch slough play is we seem to lose are shape especially in the second half today Bromley had 5 men over on the right and we had woody there by himself. And when we lose concentration we conceded a goal but still make the same mistake 5 minutes later, should'nt have we learned are lesseon. I don't know about anyone else but for there second goal i blame mason not reacting quick enough when the freekick was taken.

I agree Matt. It is those schoolboy errors that are so embarassing and inexplicable. There is no excuse. Switching off from set plays is unacceptable.

Today when we got into attacking areas we launched crosses into the box. Which Ana and Wallo will not win against two seven foot giants. The crosses need to be low and hard to rely on pace to get there.

I honestly believe we would not have scored today had we played for hours.

Am currently failing to see why Ancalet Odhiambo is still in the squad. I've seen more from Alex Gibson and Daryl Harris in the little time they've been on the pitch that from Odhiambo whos started every game.

Yes he has had little service, but no matter how good he may be on his feet, he is far too lightweight. He may be able to score 30+ goals for Abingdon who are in a lower league, but I think that Ryman Premier is above his quality.

Never thought I'd say this, but I think its time to have Mark Bartley a run in the team, if for nothing else than to say to players such as McCleary that their performances just haven't been good enough.

We badly need a target man. The only pl;ayer in the team who even comes close is Adam Wallace, and how many times do the midfield pass to him?

Even at 0-0, today we were sorely lacking in any ideas whatsoever. We kept trying to do the same thing over and over again - hump it upfield to McCleary, see if he can get round the defender (which he rarely did) and hope he can come up with something special.

Michael Alexis, Leigh Mason and Matt Glyn might as well have stayed at home for all they did today.

The only players who even looked as though they wanted to be there was Kieron Drake and Jamie Jarvis.

Noone seemed to have a clue as to what their role in the team is. Something is badly wrong, yet Eddie seems to be doing little to sort it out.

todays performance has to be one of the worst i have seen in a long time mason seems scared of his own shadow as any time he gets the ball he seems to twist and turn in such a way that he ends up going back to his own goal before either losing it or passing a hospital ball to one of his team mates, any one notice how dejected steve daly was today, won't be long before he'll be on his way i'll bet, how can you keep arguably the best defender in the leagueout of a team thatis as crap as the one we have at the moment, drake now we know why windsor were so glad to see the back of him, and in answer to mister sliski if the players can't take the heat then they should get out of the kitchen , or a least play as if they mean it. it was that bad today i though steve brown was back in charge, on a good note i,ve heard mickey lewis is looking for a job , lets get him back and put some heart and enthusiasm back in the team!

'Cos hes injured? 'Cos Leach and Jarvis are forming a good partnership at the heart of defence?

So where do we go from here? Maybe ask the supporters to dig deeper in there pockets and ask for more weekly donations? i dont think so and it really is sad to see how bad we are. Will give tuesday a miss as i cant watch that pile of S--- again for a while, also think Eddie's days are numbered but not sure who can do any better with the pityful budget he would have to work with. The way its going crowds will dip below 200 before long.As for getting behind the team Chris???????

That must be one of the worst performances I've seen.

Players making schoolboy errors : On a Windy day you do not want to play the ball in the air, ball watching, waiting for the ball to arrive, and yet again getting out of shape.

I think it is about time we had a strong voice back on the pitch (Daly). We need someone that can marshal the players and keep them in position.

The defence is getting crucified it every game because they have on two strikers to play to, and the ball just keeps on coming back with interest.

I stayed behind after the match and I can tell you that the players I spoke to are as upset at the performances as we are.

Come on Rebels, lets get that attitude back for the AFC match on Tuesday.

Nathan, Steve Daly isn't injured.

I agreed with the Chris S outburst in the first half - i know we pays our money, but we want our team to win and getting on their backs so early doesn't help. Having said that we were dreadful apart from the opening 10 minutes. Off the field activities or the lack of them and various gossip I heard, made it a thoroughly depressing day.

First of all lets get one thing noted. We played a bloody good side today (on bloody good wages no doubt). With a lot of players who have won this league before.

As for the performance, yes it was poor but we don't seem to learn from our same mistakes week in week out. Here's my observations for what they are worth:

1) For me Wallace was easily our best player today. The blokes carrying an injury but he still wants the ball. he does not hide when things are going bad unlike some other players. Yes he may not get it right all the time, but when the sh1t hits the fan he always wants the ball and does his best unlike some of our other players. He battles and gives 100%.

2) Leigh Mason, who I do rate as a player is gradully turning into a one in four man - crap for 3 games then plays well for one. Also his taclking is awful. Go for the ball like you want it. He seems too worried about getting hurt.

3) If Anaclet's not scoring for me he's offering very little to the side. He does not show for the ball like Wallace and does not run the Channells well for the midfield to give him the ball.

4) G is WASTED on the wing. He has got to play up front. It's OK him beating 2 men in the centre of the pitch, but that does not hurt the opposition there. It's up front where he has got to do that damage. Sadly though we have no winger replacements, so unless Eddie gets some in i'd guess that's where he will sadly stay.

5) I decided to stay behind the goal with the Bromley fans second half to watch our back four closely. There is a big lack of communication there. Leach is too quiet to be captian. Yesterday it really needed someone on that pitch to give them a right 'b@llocking', but it never happened.

6) I don't know what's up with Steve Daly (if he and Eddie have had an argument) but even though he's sub a pre-game warm up standing in the centre circle on your own doing 'kick-ups' is not at all professional. I personally don't particually like travelling all that way to the likes of Margate and Bromley to see a player not looking interested at all.

7) Our pre-game warm up seems very strange. I watched it as I got there early. It started off with G, Alexis and Glynn standing in a circle trying to keep the ball in the air for as long as they could, then seeing how far they could lump it up in the ar (again, really professional!).

Then there was some sraight line running and a quick game of pass and move for about five minutes.

For me, and i'm not a qualified coach, but the warm up seems very boring. There's no fun behind it. When Mickey Lewis was doing it there seemed to be some good variety every week.

7) We need 3-4 players added to the squad. Will the wage budget stretch that far? I don't know, but there is a lack of quality on the bench and that team yesterday are all near nough guarenteed a start on Tuesday.

8) Do any of the players give a crap about the supporters? Noticed at Margate (don't know about yesterday as I left when we were 3-0 down) the only players that recognise the supporters at the end of a match are Wilko, Drake and Jarvis. The rest of them just shake hands with the opposition then go back to the changing huts.

9) I'd think about dropping Glynn, putting in Wilko and playing Alexis in the creative role as it's not working for Glynn at the moment.

10) The atmosphere behind our goal is becoming more and more tense of late and it's becoming not a very nice place to be. Calm down people!!!

Apart from that it's all great!

YES we have problems......

looking back ..the performance was pants and the lack of whole hearted effort from the players was driving our supporters to despair...

Looking in retrospect...at the league table all the teams we have played are in the top eight ! and have had some good results against some teams tipped for the top ! the other team we beat Harrow have only conceded 3 goals ...2 of them by the rebels...

We knew we were in for a rough season...before we kicked off this season...and now is not the time to start the slough moan ! we have no alternative than to try and will our players to understand our supporters are passionate and need for a return from the players on the pitch...even if we lose to a better team , but put effort in ..our supporters will be happy......

Lets see what we can do together...
