EFM Booze Train to Hendon

Regrettably, there appears to be no Thameslink services on Boxing Day, so unless we get a train to Cricklewood on Christmas Eve and camp outside the ground until Boxing Day, and then come home on the 27th, it doesn't seem viable.

Anyway, there is an hourly service on Boxing Day from St Albans to West Hampstead. No idea how you get from there to Hendon's ground though.

Yes Colin, nothing's stopping at Cricklewood.

 

Bit of a trek but you could get a train to Kings Cross Thameslink and then Northern Line to Brent Cross. Don't know what the tube will be like on Boxing Day though.

There are 2 trains a hour from St.Albans at 02 and 32 mins past the hour stopping at the Woooood, West Hampstead and Kentish Town only.

 

It's about a 20 min walk from West Hampstead - Cricklewood so the journey will take about half hour. You could also travel to Kentish Town and use the northen line. I'lll try and find out if buses are running as most that go through West Hampstead also go to Cricklewood.

 

As it's a 1.00 ko I suggest the 1132 or the 1102 (if you want some Hendon bar action)

Just checked the buses. There is a C11 running on Boxing Day from West Hampstead station to right outside the ground.

Fly to Dublin.

 

Then fly Dublin to Gatwick.

 

Train from Gatwick to West Hampstead.

 

Then get the bus.
